Vince's Repair Thread - (Console Repairs & Mods)

These messages are reading more and more like scams every time!
At the end of the day I can eat up a loss here and there. Really I'm just trying to let anybody who reads know what they could be dealing with if they decide to buy one. Forewarned is forearmed and all that.

I wouldn't buy one all things considered after this experience. You are better off with something like a deck and the backing of Valve.

Fair play! Great that you’re making everyone aware. Really shocking service from any company.

I dont think 600 dollars is acceptable at all, thats not far off the cost of a brand new device. I have asked them to go away and think about it again and come back with a better solution. one second ill grab my email back to them.
Yeah but they have your device and the money you have already paid them. They will just ignore you and keep both, as you have no leverage. It’s not like the manufacturer has a reputation to protect, who are they even? Some no-name Chinese manufacturer that could change their name next week.

Yep it's basically being held to ransom. You have to love it when a company does that to you

Round and round we go

They won't come back to me... I'll end up back at the start line in a weeks time. I'll keep you updated.

So is this a out of warranty repair and they want crazy money or is it in warranty and they still want money? :p I've lost track.

It's technically in warranty but they wouldn't accept anything but an invoice from their store which I didn't have. So it's an in warranty device for an out of warranty repair.

Gentlemen's the Aya debacle may be over, we settled on $135 and we appear to be moving forward I shall let you know what happens next.

I was firm that I was willing to pay no more than $150 (not that, that means anything as I had zero power here). I was however also willing to walk away with a giant **** you...

Lol, damnit. I told the kids I'm sure it was the nice man who fixed their Switch.

I'm lead to believe he doesn't have a great run on switches. It was a running joke for a while that he was a switch killer in his videos :D also is that switch we replaced the ram on still running? If so that one has done well!

So today we paid Aya Neo their repair money. Next step get device back. Impeccable service

I can't believe their audacity - I hope when you eventually get it returned, you can forward the ridiculous email exchanges to somewhere high profile and call the buggers out.

I've just sent you a PM about a few controllers that need work :)

This the downside of dealing with China, they just arent setup/prepared to offer any level of customer service, its just about the one time sale.
