I'll be one of the first in my area to get it, so I hope it doesn't drop or have any types of issues.

Yeah I've done a few now so I noticed the jump from M200 to M250 a day or two before I got the email through, around the beginning of the month. Restarted again today but it's still at 275/26.Strange, mine took about a week I think. Tried a modem reboot?
What area are you in? You were paying £35/month for 1Gb with VM?I'm moving away from Virgin. Been with them for years but my connection drops out here and there, it's terrible for gaming, especially when more than one person is trying to game and for the first time since going up a speed, it's not better than it's advertised at. My old 300 used to get about 350, 350 got closer to 400 and 500 got about 550. The 1Gb gets about 900Mb. Still plenty fast enough but it's not a good service in my area. This is with wired connections and a superhub 5.
I'm moving to youfibre. Same price (£35 per month) but 900/900. The faster upload should help and the price is locked for 2 years
Currently getting ripped off paying £62 a month outside a contract for M350. VirginMedia today said phone up Friday for a £27 Black Friday deal for existing customers. If there is anything better deal wise I don't know? I might just switch to their 125mbps deal with 20mbps upload, if price is good as don't need anything faster.
I might have to figure out how to deploy OpenVPN in AWS or something....
Do it in Oracle Cloud on their free tier.I might have to figure out how to deploy OpenVPN in AWS or something....
Once you receive the new Hub, it should just be plug and play. They are normally pre-activated now. Then it'll probably do a firmware update and download the correct config file for Gig1.Thursday last week, decided to test my luck and have changed from M500 to Gig 1. VM sent out a new Hub. Currently using a Hub 3 in modem mode. Anyone know how long does it take to switch over? currently everything is still sat on M500.
