Indeed, I had pretty much the same scenario as Flashheart, I upgraded from 20mb to 50mb for only a extra few quid a month (I was still on an old ntl rolling contract), the notion of almost doubling my throughputs came second to the idea of being freed from what was then a pretty relaxed throttle program, since then it has locked down to the point of draconanism.

For a fiver a month increase I'd go for it.

It'll cost me £6.50 extra I think. Only got it installed over a week ago

Still not too much.

They don't throttle the download of either the 50 or 100MB packages. They do throttle the upload on the 50, but I'm not sure of when they do it as I don't bother much with uploading.

Anything under 50Mb is throttled, 50Mb & 100Mb connections are not.

I see, probably is worth the fiver then. As I already have the super hub, I'm guessing it will only take a phone call so they can flick a switch

No - 50mb is throttled... it's only 100mb that isn't

Only the upload is throttled on the 50MB, the download isn't, which arguably the majority of people care about.

Fairy muff - still count it as throttling though

Supposedly the 100mbit is shaped for file sharing during peak hours too... I haven't noticed this at all yet though.

I've just moved form the old 20Mb internet service to the 50Mb service

While on the 20Mb i was hitting 19 for download and 1.9 for upload.

This is my current speed

anyone able to help out?

Tried turning of and resetting everything and it hasn't helped.

Had 50 meg for about 6 months now...guess i'm one of the lucky ones with no issues.

Got this myself, wouldn't go back to 20, that being said, i wouldn't bother with 100 as i'd never use it. At the moment 8gig comes down in like 15-20mins as it is..

Well i'm disappointed.

My 50mb results from yesterday.

And my newly installed 100mb today.

Got an engineer coming out this week to take a look in the cab as my modem seems fine and the power levels are good. :confused:

Just took my D-Link router out of the question and restored the superhub to factory settings and updated the firmware. The guy who came round earlier didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing.

Unfortunatley now I have to setup the network again.

Seems the QoS on the DIR-615 was at fault. Disabled that and we are now good
