Who at Virgin can I email to help fix my connection? It's been going on for for a long time now, changing the cable has made no change. I'm starting to get really annoyed with them.

What service are you on, if 50mb phone the dedicated 50mb help line (based in uk)they don't like advertising. Assuming it still exists, I haven't needed to use it for over a year.

Post on the support forums, it can take a few days to get a reply but those guys actually know what they're doing compared to the phone monkeys.

Already done, not had anyone contact me in over a week. Any PMs to the mods result in an 'update your thread' reply, which then isn't helpful.

I'm back in the UK tomorrow so will call that number and see how I get on but I'd prefer to email someone high up the chain to get things moving.
 
Are you connecting via Ethernet or wireless. Also have you tried connecting other devices to the network and are receiving the same stats?
 
Still no sign of them acknowledging that I've posted on the VM forum.

I'm just going to max the connection 24/7 till they finally get in touch with me.

Done over 350GB so far since yesterday.
 
What exactly is the problem? Because your last comment implies you have been going flat out at 5MB/s for the last 24 hours, if my maths is correct. Latency?
 
It takes 7-10 days for a reply, usually.

Latency is an issue, but it's the packet loss in the evenings that ruins any chance of gaming or doing anything decent online. Download speed even slows to below around 40% of what it should be.

Not to mention this has been going on for well over 2 months now.

been using newsgroups on 50 meg since release and never had a problem with traffic managing but since ive been upgraded to 100meg i cant get any faster than between 20-30 meg any 1 else having these issues ?
 
just got an upgrade from 50Mb to 100Mb for an extra £2.50 a month :eek:
I know the price of the 100Mb is coming down but if you get it before Feb
you will get the upgrade to 120Mb Free.

I have downloaded the Think Broadband monitor thing, but how do I get it to display the data over the last 24 hours, especially the packet loss etc, just like the pics everyone uploads on here..im sure im missing it somewhere in the options...
