Got 60mb, Been a solid 60mbit for a while tempted to upgrade to 120mbit and wire the house with cat5e.

Check it this morning 30mbit, now 20mbit. Dammit virgin

But try live streaming to twitch.tv for 5 hours, and see how well that goes

Just upgraded from 60mb to 100mb as ive opted for another 12months on my current rate, even though my 60mb wasnt due to be upgraded until december 2014.

Is there a direct link to check the router stats (max traffic rate etc)? Can't seem to find it in the advanced settings.

It's not in advanced settings.

On the login screen don't log in, click the router status button on the top right.

Call VM myself to re-connected and was offered £5.00 discount for first 6 months with a further discount loyalty on account for 18 months of £9 off. First 6 months is £23.50 then thereafter for remaining of 12 months of £28.50 but contract is 12 months. That's for 152/12 broadband stand alone without virgin phone.

Not a Virgin customer (not in my area) but I was wandering with these speed increases over the past couple of years what is the maximum that they could go with the current infrastructure? I presume that Virgin cable is pretty much fttp? If so could they get to Hyperoptic sort of speeds?

Virgin's network is FTTN, fibre to the node.

They couldn't get close to Hyperoptic speeds, especially on upload, without some serious upgrades.

The fastest tier of service I'm aware of using a network similar to Virgin's, though again somewhat upgraded, is 500Mb/50Mb.
