£3.99pm increase here, letter came this morning :( just going to take it on the chin as we already get the top package for £35pm thanks to my brothers mates rates discount still being active even though he left the company two years ago! :D

Not really sure what the Graph is saying tbh, but the speed test is ok. Anyhow, I got £10 off this month and January as I complained about the high utilization which they say will be fixed by 28th January, till then £10 credit's off my monthly bill.

I like it, mainly because I haven't been on BT Fibre so I don't know how it compares, it's not even available in my street, only option I had was keep BT 5Mbps or move to Virgin.

Poor, but the connection needs to be idle for 24 hours to get a real idea of the situation.

Unless the connection is being hammered then that looks like your fairly standard congested network graph given the elevated latency during the peak hours. As you have an outstanding fault for that then it looks pretty much like you'd expect, but it isn't that great.

I see VM have finally acknowledged my upstreams faults as even the status page lists a fault now. They claim it will be fixed by 21:00 today. I really hope so because this is getting silly, but after a year and a half I'll believe it when I see it!

Got my email from Virgin about bumping my 120mb to 152mb last night. Logged in and requested the free bump. 8:30 this morning it restarts and now rocking the new speed.

lol nice one :D

mine's going up £5 something in February no bt fiber here though so I'll stay with them

There isn't any caps these days, but a lot of areas are well over capacity so there might as well be to be honest! I'm still at ~20Mbit on my 152 service during peak hours.

If only VM actually did any real investment in the network.

I've had it confirmed that the reseg has been completed for my node and after 9 months and the biggest capacity increase they can do they managed to increase my peak time speeds from 10Mbit to......

So glad they put the prices up, allowing me to end my contract early without penalty.

Me too. I'm only 4 months in to a 18 month contract and moving to non cabled area so would have been stung for £180 or so.

The retention guy offered £2 off a month and couldn't understand why I was cancelling, especially as I'd been hammering the broadband.

You managed to cancel then?

Yes. I told the chap that I received the letter on the 30th December (which I did more or less) and that the price increase was from 1st Feb and he couldn't argue as it is in the T & Cs. They've basically changed the contract so it gives you a free way out.

I'd read somewhere that some guy didn't know when he'd received the letter and they'd not honoured it as they only put the month on the letters.

Lucky maybe?

I believe they've been pulled up by OfCom in the past for dating the letters by just the month and year. Yet they're still doing it. My letter was dated December 2014.
