Virgin Media Discussion Thread

I'm still on the original SuperHub as most of my components are wired, with just the phones in the house being on Wifi, is it worth changing to the new SuperHub? they dont need to send out an engineer or anything for it do they?

I find it much better, 802.11ac support and iirc it only cost me £20 to get it.

However I have a couple of 802.11ac devices that can actually use the speed.

8 downstream channels locked, but only 2 (out of 4 possible) upstream channels locked here... oh well. It's upstream bandwidth I want more than anything, but I won't argue if my downstream gets even quicker :)

I have signed up to Virgin, moving from BT after the recent price rises. 1st for Sport, so cancelled that, followed by line rental increase a month later. Allowed me to escape the 18 month contract without penalty.

Hope Virgin will be good for my 12 months :D I know they will also raise prices at some point :(
