Could anyone tell me if this upgrade will incur any additional charges?
 
Just rang up spoke with monika scottish woman.

Upgraded me now. Literally as soon as phones been put diwn router has gone offline to update :) no price increase either.

I played dumb, said i'd read on cableforum that the upgrades went live today and could she check if mine was ready. 5mins later it was done.

Probably unrelated but my net went down completely for a couple of hours not long after. Automated message when calling said the usual 'we're sorry you unable to use ...... we estimate it will be fixed by 7.45pm'. Fixed now though :)

Yeh i said ive had an email stating from the 1st oct about the 200mb upgrade and what do i need to do to get it.

Said i was at work and couldnt log into my account but had checked the address to see if i could get 200mb.

She said let me check if i can do t from my end and she said she could.

5 mins later speed test is above

Can't complain, retentions have been great for early upgrades for years now :p

Have to laugh at some of the estimates though considering VM said they'd have everyone done this year. Some are being estimated the second half next year. Then again, others that are estimated the end of this year already got the upgrades today automatically.

Sorry for the duplicate post. I'll keep my eyes open until the end of this year about the supposed upgrade from 50Mb/s to 70Mb/s. I will most likely upgrade for the upload speed and nothing else more, since a 20Mb/s increase in download won't make much of a change to my downloading habits. I can download 5GB torrent files using uTorrent and qBittorrent with maxed out setttings, which are optimal to my 50Mb connection in about 1 hour or 2 hours (I also allocated and prioritise bandwidth using settings).

Just been on chat with VM. I was told my price for VM will be £24 but that the Superhub 1 is incomparable with the new 200 service, requiring the new Superhub AC? Said it would cost £20 to have that sent out, haven't gone through with it yet.

Anyone else had that?

Go the phone route via retentions and you should get it free.

I've had it in the past. The website says if you need a new hub, you only have to pay 6 quid for postage. If you argue with them for long enough, they will send you a new hub for free. I got one for free because the super hub 2 had problems with battleye/arma.
 
Just called and said I received an email but no boost in speed and she did it while on the phone with me. I am BB only and there was no price increase for me.
