Hi people,

Looking for a recommendation for reliable power plug to connect my VM box so I can view in the bedroom

Got an email from Virgin saying to sign up for a My Virgin Media account. When I try it says my details are incorrect. Do I have to wait until it's actually installed to do this or is there a problem I should be contacting them about? I have my account and area reference number in the email, it just isn't accepting them.

I had the same problem. One of two things: You may have to wait for the system to update itself. Or in my case i kept typing the wrong virgin media email incorrectly. Alternativley you can call customer service, which is what I did.

How will this affect our current prices? We took out a new 12mo contract last month I think it was, when I got us upgraded from 120Mb to 150Mb. Fully paid for the phone line rental for the year and had a £6 reoccurring discount applied to our account, paying just £24 a month.

How would the upgrade work for me? and would my price stay the same?

Got my upgrade to 70MB too. Makes me feel a tiny bit better about the £1.75 price increase.

Got my "engineer" coming out this evening, hopefully can figure out what dramas I'm having.

The last time they replaced a part in the little wall box, might have been called the switch.

Will see if he can sort it out then will enquire with the CS lot about this 200mb upgrade stuff.

Looks like my 200Mb upgrade is due in January to March 2016. Judging by the speed they fix issues in my area, that may turn out to be 2017. But im holding out hope.

Hopefully get a new improved superhub, always having issues with the SH2.

I'm seeing posts on other forums with people saying that retentions are giving out the upgrade now instead of waiting if you give them a call.

Oh nice. Is it the normal 150 number, from any VM landline/Mobile. Do you know the number to call from a non VM landline/Mobile?

Any body using power sockets with their VM? If so can you advise suitable a suitable power sockets please.

I use Devolo 1200+ which I've had maxing my connection before. But it depends on your own home and the wiring. The ones I bought are pricey but there are some cheaper alternatives.

I missed the period when it was being trialled to call in, but I'll give them a call and see if they'll bump me up.

Are the SH3s ready to go? ive gone through a few SH2 and they all seem to have issues with Wifi dropping out and general disconnects.

Have always thought to put it in modem mode but that's just another plug being taken up. May buy a solid AP and see if thats more stable.

It's the speed upgrade they're giving out not the SH3, as far as i know the trial for that was delayed so won't be out anytime soon.

Theres only a price increase if your not on a package.

Im on the big kahuna so no price raise for me.

Some whos been upgraded go to the virgin site and put your postcode in but select a different address see if it says you can have 200mb or only 152mb.

Mine says i can only have 152mb and my upgrade date is jan
