My "Superhub" keeps factory resetting itself, CS says it's because the "Superhub" only supports a maximum of 4 wired connections (I've got 11 devices through a switch).
Yep, definitely a display of ignorance. They know all home broadband supplier routers only have 4 ethernet ports, it's clear that's all they know about networking. The CS rep even suggested "If you need more than 4 connected wired devices.... try another supplier"![]()
I didn't, he was running diagnostics and nearly started laughing when he saw I had 11 devices connected !Why would you even tell them that?![]()
Based on my previous encounters, I wouldn't really expect them to know what a switch is. The poor rep must be imagining you somehow jamming 11 separate network cables into the superhub, and that "switch" is some sort of elite hacking term, like "chipped" xboxes.
Logged into my account and it shows as Vivid 150 however i am still only getting speeds of 100. Was really hoping the line would balance and sort itself out however i think i will need to give them a call tomorrow.
would people think two months is reasonable time to expect a fault fixed? im losing patience and think it might be time to try elsewhere
Well...Bye Bye Virgin
Been with them since Cabletel -> NTL -> Virgin, started of with 64K cable modem and now I'm off to SKY.
I've spent the last few weeks on the phone to retentions but the cheapest deal they'll do me for XL TV, standard Phone & 50Mb broadband is £58. That's as low as they'd go even after I cancelled my contract & told them I'm moving to Sky for £44.60![]()
Depends on the fault.
