How do we go about getting these deals?

Currently in contract with Virgin and paying something stupid like £120 a month for BB/Phone/Sports/Movies etc!

Would it work for current customers or just new?

What's the best way to negotiate a better price with VM? Full-on 'I'm going to leave' or something more subtle? I don't actually want to leave (big trees prevent a clear line of sight for Sky :( ) so don't want to be placed in a position where I 'accidentally' end up cancelling through some over-enthusiastic negotiation...

Context - currently on 'VIP' package but appear to be paying even more than it's advertised for (although I do have a second V+ box so perhaps that's adding more...?).

Just tell them that you're not happy the prices are going up and give them examples of what other companies are offering to see if they can match/get near them. Sky Q for example has brilliant deals on at the moment. You don't need to threaten to leave as they'll usually help you if it's possible to.

Even if you did end up cancelling they normally phone you in a few days with a decent offer to get you to stay, you can cancel the cancellation at any time.

The new prices are starting to get a bit ridiculous mind you so i'm not sure how good the deals will be any more. Once my letter comes through and if they don't offer anything decent i might actually leave this time seeing as FTTC is available now.

Edit here's the Sky Q deal. Gets you the full package including sports and movies for £29 pm. Virgin will tell you they can't match that but it gives the person on the phone something to try and get near.

Hey chaps, I just got an email from VM saying

'Lee, you were on up to 100Mbps, but we’ve given you up to 150Mbps.
Luckily, like Usain Bolt we’re really fast, because we provide the UK’s fastest, widely available broadband. That’s why we’ve boosted your broadband speed to up to 150Mbps. No strings. No catches. And you don’t have to do a thing, it’s all happened automatically. To find out just how fast your broadband is now, click “Check your speed” at the bottom of this email'

I'm sitting in the barber shop chair so will speed test when I get home. :)

I hope there really is no catch and they don't put my price up.
I have superhub 2 but not ac. I assume I can still receive 150Mbps.
