Hi Rich,

I am just out of contact with sky and am looking around at various deals. Could you see what you currently have available please? I am especially interested in the faster broadband (200+) but that only seems to come in a super expensive bundle with sport etc that I am not fussed about lol.

I mean that the only thing bundle that comes with 200 meg is the big bundle with sports and movies :) I have that with sky currently though don't use either. Only had them as I was on that crazy good deal from a year back (all channels and unlimited fiber for £45 a month). Now that had expired I have taken the extra channels off and am still looking at nearly 60 a month which is why I thought I might look to get virgin bb if going to be paying around that sort of price anyway :)

Can you get deals for existing customers?
My introductory deal ran out this month and now I'm paying full back £52 but it was £37.50 for the first year. Got the Big Kahuna Deal...

I think I will. I have never been capped with my speeds in my current area and rarely get disconnections.

In addition my current 100mbps connection normally runs between 105 and 112mbps so I am remaining hopeful :)

What's your jitter like?

What are you testing the speed with?

You know that Virgin prioritise Speednet based traffic and throttle things like YouTube and other streaming services depending on congestion.

You post a lot in this thread about not having any issues which is fair enough, consider yourself very lucky. Many other people are much less fortunate.

i have a VM samsknow box so it's always testing each hour

jitter is low


i do know all about that, I've had my fair share of issues in the past, like with high utilisation issue and other things which i was only getting between 2-8Mb for 2years.

Anyone recently signed up with virgin and managed to get a good deal on the basic tv with 200meg line? Only bundle offer inc the 200meg is the big kahuna sports and movies which i have no interest in. The other half wants E which comes in the basic tv, i dont really watch any myself as i tend to stream. Thinking might be cheaper to get the virgin bb on its own and sky tv on its own at this rate.

Any way to bump that up to 200? I know on the customise bundle i can put those items in and it still gets classed as a big kahuna bundle its just 6 quid more with the 200 meg?

Have called and cancelled my sky today so i am definitely interested in getting signed up :)
