yes it doesnt work in modem mode.
drop internet every 10 mins, virgin have said its faulty in modem mode until a patch comes out

It's a lottery, it depends if the CMTS you connect to is Cisco or Arris if it's Cisco it seems there isn't a problem.

cheers, how do you find which CMTS you are connected to?

I'm guessing the 20MB upload will be configured for the SH3 only and not the SH2?

yes 20MB upload is for the SH3 only

as for the CMTS i think it's a case of trying and seeing

They said i can keep one of the TIVOs as it will just turn into a Freeview box that can still record,pause etc..the other one has been disabled and theyre sending me a box to send it back.

I might go Freesat,Il have to see what sort of channels you get.

That's still paying more than a new customer with 200mb BB + phone, after discounts end. New customer pays £44pm for 12 months then £53pm.

I know it is,but they never offer existing customers the same deals as new customers,they never have done unless you cancel entirely give it a break then go back with them,I didn't want to do that i wanted to carry on with my internet but do away with the TV boxes.

This is now my package.

Im happy with that price.

Why? You wanted phone+ 200mb and are paying more than the normal price for them. £53 is the normal price, the price after new customer discounts end and you are paying £56.

You could always keep the broadband with virgin but take the £20/29 Sky package on separate. Virgin will give you 50mb for <£30 through retentions, including phone line.

I checked the cost of keeping my BB/phone and taking sky, £53 for just 200mb and phone!

Frustrating that Virgin just dont have any competition for BB (assuming you dont live in a dodgy area as above).
