Still not being throttled here on Astraweb port 443:

I'm getting the same results as DreXeL although I'm using port 563. I used to hit 6.2 constantly but it seems to have slowed down a bit to ~5.9MB/s.

Mines all over the shop today, 800kbs then 5.2mb (never 6mbs) the graph looks awfull.

Im on astaweb using ssl tired both ports and different connections amounts, im on 20 connection atm and still crap. wtf is up?
speed test shows up fine tho. :S

Port 443 would be ideal. Port 563 is heavily associated with nntps.

I had some chew getting SSL to work when I initially set this account up but i've just tried it again and i'm now downloading at full speed :)

So if you are using a standard connection then you are going to be throttled. If you are using SSL, port 443 then you won't :D

Just had the upload speed upgraded this morning....

Astraweb seems fine at the minute...

Download Dir: 48.79 GB - Complete Dir: 48.79 GB - Download speed: 5.95 MB/s - Queued: 738.92 MB / 956.92 MB

Hey,

I'm just about to move into a new rental place in Reading that can apparently get the 50mbit service. I'm unsure whether to get it though, even with the changes the download speed seems alright, but how is it for gaming now in the evening? Mainly looking for COD and WOW related feedback if anyone has any?

Also anyone on the Reading exchange and can tell me how over-subscribed it is? Also do they have to dig up the garden or such if you haven't had cable in the property before?

Oh finally are all the contracts 18 months or can you get 12 months? (I guess won't get discount on the 12 but might be all we need etc).

Thanks!
