I'm just about to move into a new rental place in Reading that can apparently get the 50mbit service. I'm unsure whether to get it though, even with the changes the download speed seems alright, but how is it for gaming now in the evening? Mainly looking for COD and WOW related feedback if anyone has any?

Also anyone on the Reading exchange and can tell me how over-subscribed it is? Also do they have to dig up the garden or such if you haven't had cable in the property before?

Oh finally are all the contracts 18 months or can you get 12 months? (I guess won't get discount on the 12 but might be all we need etc).

Slightly outside of Reading so can't comment.. Only 5 miles away :p

We just changed our package with them to this VIP one and the condition was that we had to start a 12 month contract.. Not sure if that's just because we're existing customers though.

Seems loads of people are moving to Reading though on these computer forums!
 
So I see on their site they are doing half price for 6 months with free install for 50 mbps , do tv and m phone at £34, tried to get this deal through the phone and they weren't having any if it.

Guess I will have to try retentions on Monday.

Was offered it for an extra 11 quid a month upto 59.
 
their retentions are quite fussy when you have 50meg, no one else offers it so they're quite fixed on the price.

BT will be offering there top package at the end of December, so I'm going to try to use that, I know its not 50 meg but its worth a shot, and if not I guess its only 11 quid more for an extra 40 mbps.
 
I upgraded to 50MB yesterday from 20MB. Costs me an extra £4.55 per month on my bill. I also got a Super Hub which is pretty good so far. And have 5MB upload so quite pleased.

No idea when 100MB will be ready in my area.
