I think it depends how the partition is set up. It won't let me do a similar thing because the partition is dynamic and you can't change it to basic unless it's empty (don't really know what this means but that's what it's telling me).

Hmm

mines just a 120GB IDE Drive split up 3 ways

C : 25GB - Windows
D : 50GB - Games
E : 45GB - X-Box

NTFS too - not sure other then that

So there is no way whatsoever of installing it on an NF4 board? I'll have to try it on my xeon rig. Does anyone know if it supports 4 cores?

No, I didn't say it will affect everyone with NF4, some however will just not be able to get it to work, no matter what drivers you install in the Windows setup, it will not detect any disks RAID or not on the system when you reboot.

Just as a slightly off topic question guys -am I better off with 1.5gb memory using all four slots on my KN8 Ultra, or 1gb using just the two slots? Cheers for any help.

Without me having to read the fine print and T&C's anyone know off the top of their head if you can use the licenses in a Commercial enviroment? Or home use only?

I think you can use in a commercial environment, but they suggest not to as it's a beta.

Meh, cannont find any drivers for my conextant audio chip!!

well annoyed at the mo lol. can find a lot of posts via google complaining about ms missing such a supposedly obvious driver as its used in a lot and i mean a lot of laptops but i canna grumble really i guess.

I have tried the xp drivers, but dont know how to extract them as their in a .exe file.

scrap that

i got it working.

Was being a muppet. the exe wouldnt install, but when i browsed to the folder it extracted the drivers to, i pointed the deivce to that path and all is now peachy!!

Raaaaaa!!

vista with sound.

now to try it out

Peeps, post what machine you're installing it on (desktop pc, lappy, talbot etc) as well as what mobo chipset, just to aid peeps having any problems.

My download is sailing right now, while this morning it was a total mess :)

Installing it via dual boot on a overclocked Barton [email protected] / Nforce2.

downloading now at a solid 200k/s

will be installing on ibm thinkpad with 2.0ghz dothan

just got to clear some space to create new partition.

I can maybe put it on my server (well I can put it on my server) and limit the number of people connected... maybe. I'll think about it.

I would do the same, but uploading it at 375KB is not going to be fun.

PLease put it up :p I could have done in no time on full speed. :)

Right, it's on my server, I have put it on an account with a limit of 300GB bandwidth. Contact me on MSN nykampcw[at]hotmail[dot]com if you want the link, I will put it down if people give it to anyone else, spreading this too far will take too much power eventually as you can see by the Microsoft servers.
