Same here - that's why WMware peaked my interest.

Looks like I may have resolved my stability issues too - not had any lost work for 24 hrs - pity it's too late as I've just been STOMPED.......

Didn't even get a parp..........

Well, Delboy, you have 11 hrs notice to get another 60k points - otherwise please make sure not to mess up my cell.......as I'll be moving back in.

Edit: Well, looks like the deed is done - Delboy has upped his game and got the extra +60k......I don't think I have enough firepower to catch him again :(

Got lucky, both my bigadv rigs dropped today, the next day or so may look a little lean in comparison.

The dual xeons are only 2ghz 4 cores (5405's I think) so only give me an extra 10-11k ppd on smp, I can't put the VM image on there as its being used for Hyper-V so VMWare does not run - not that I think it will even cope with Bigadv tbh. Oh well, it all helps!

...belated parp!

Man I'm getting some rubbish units, strangely more so that with the windows client. At least I got a 6901 today though, rather than the raft of 2684s I had been getting.

Everyone got the new 1.6 image running?

Not yet

Haven't looked at the new 1.6 image yet - can you post a download link please.

Still working on getting a stable 4GHz overclock (told you I'd regret trying it) when I can find the time - had to update my BIOS to get anything above 3.8GHz. I seem to be stable at 3.9GHz but My temperatures are breaking the 80ºc barrier so when I've had a chance to give my H50 a clean I'll get back to finding a stable 4GHz

Mine seems to be running ok now - had to drop oc to 4.2ghz (bit of a hash job - just not got the time to do it properly).

Had a couple of slow units but things seem to be back on track now - got a 6901 giving me 39k ppd.

Seems more stable to me

Can't say I've noticed much difference, bar the easy of setup for Langouste.

Btw that 920 OEM you sold me with the P6T and Gigabyte board, how well did it clock for you? Seems a decent clocker, currently doing 4.2GHz @ 1.325v Vcore / 1.3 QPI. It is LinX stable but not tested it under Folding@Home yet.

Cheers, downloading now :)

Ah all up and running again and I get a 2684 :(

Yeah I've had a fair few, I wonder if turning on Adv Methods would help get some different ones? lol

Dekez: All good science :D

Speed: I can't remember sorry mate, old age and alchohol :)

No worries, its a decent chip thats for sure. One of the better ones in my "collection" anyways.

I just swapped it for another and it required a fair bit more voltage to hit the same speeds and be LinX stable.

Hmm, not sure the new 1.6 image has Langouste working right, it keeps failing to upload the work unit and getting stuck downloading a new one!

Might have to disable it.

I thought as much, the problem is it gets stuck downloading the new unit, so it is no good at the moment. I've disabled it, if I get the same problem with FoldingTwo I'll have to look into it more.

Mate your talking about a period of a few minutes between it finishing and it sorting itself out, thats nothing compared to the 30+ minutes it would take to upload the file without it.
