You are correct but as few are already finding out they can be traced and are loosing access to the MM. Is it worth it to make a couple of hunrded quid and loose the future chance of vouchers etc. Only you can answer that for yourself

It may have but no system is perfect.
We've already detected some who have tried to abuse this but failed. It's not speculation, we have absolute proof and those people have a long suspension and will never access MM again.

Originally I tried to order from the company but in both cases it got cancelled as the items were oversold:

I understand that currently the vouchers would only be available to people with 1000+ posts who are members six months or more. I do not meet that criteria, but is there any way I can be issued a voucher given that I've originally tried to place an order but it eventually got cancelled, please? I've checked the product pages every single day since the orders got cancelled in November
and now you're asking for preferential treatment so that you can buy another card?

Yeah, this was my thought to be honest. The Asus TUF range OCUK have are exceptional value really
I can't get on with gaming laptops myself. Too many compromises. But each to their own, there's plenty of good reasons to buy one, they're just not for me. Maybe that'll change if I have kids and consider lugging my 35kg watercooled gaming PC to the garage to game in peace

Yeah, I feel the same for gaming. The laptop in question is for my daughter to play Fortnite etc. on
She currently uses a machine with a 1080. The 3070 laptop should out-perform it without needing an entire dedicated desk to be situated.

To be fair I did only read the OP and just re-read it to see if I had been an idiot which is perfectly possible...
If Gibbos happy then it doesn't matter what we think/want as hes the boss and in full control. Yes i might have opened a can of worms that others didnt want to start, but i felt it appropriate based on the current climate and the effort being put in by OCUK.
And as a side note, i secured a 6700xt fighter card but still voiced my opinions on behalf of the wider community, so im not on the side of throw the toys out of pram because i missed out.
But again cudos for trying to help a friend out a lot wouldnt do it, not wanting to fall out with anyone on here. With you 10K forum posts you have been a great contributor to the forums so respect where its due.

I don't want anything but ultrawide if I can avoid it. For me it would be Ultrawide Low/Medium > Laptop Ultra
I get it and honestly no hard feelings. If it would have come to it I would 100% have tracked back the order and there would have been no issues at all. I know a lot of the guys here personally and would not want something as silly as a few hundred quid GPU to cause issues or change that.
When i first read about this plan i thought it was great idea, i still do and fully support it.
It was obvious though, even within MM it was going to be abused at some point..........as yesterday proved. Stupid's and idiots will always be stupid's and idiots..............you only have to read the posts from peeps discussing how to get around the rules set, to know that.

Did the 3070s have the same rules as the MM drops though? I didn't see a 3070 in any MM drop
So far we have had 3060's and 6700xt's so far as I can see. No 3070 drops yet. Hopefully if the 3070's are anything like the 3060's you should have 10 or 15 mins to jump into action.
