VX220 Turbo's are...

That looks just fantastic

It's amazing what a difference removing the 'V' makes. There is a red one (non-turbo) local to me, looks supurb. Basically looks the same as that one, but in red, with black detailing (mesh, badges etc.)

Sorry... :o

It's the same weight as an Exige. Yet is very cheap to take to 260bhp, with more torque than the Exige could ever dream of.

The turbo is just a bit too soft and heavy, the VXR is supposed to feel more agile, especially with Ohlins.

It is perfectly usable as an every day car, for 90% of journeys it's no different to any other car.

Someone posted these pics on the VX boards recently, just needs the black windscreen surround and VXR black petrol filler cap.

The exige looks like a supercar and now they come with a toyota engine of course
correct me if i'm wrong here, but isn't the Toyota VVT engine even more hard work than a VTec?

The big question is are they better then an elise or exige.
personally i think the VX easily looks so much better than the Elise, although the Exige is a different story.

Is it me or does everyone remove the vauxhall spammage from the front grill?
Dammit that's it.
until you posted that i couldn't place what was different about it.
looks so much better without the chrome "V" IMHO.

apparently it's the new.....err...well Black i suppose. :p

I disagree, I dont think it would look any better.

If the weather stays nice might get some pics of it alongside mine tomorrow after a quick car wash :)

Almost 580bhp on one driveway with only 2 cars! :D

Why the hell would you be washing the cars when you could be driving them? ;)

In terms of straight line speed they are very similar, mine has a advantage in traction in poor conditions as I can put all the power down in anything but snow. The VX has to be driven carefully in damp or wet conditions as it's a lot of power for such a light car with RWD, the back end does skip out of line.

Driven well and good conditions I expect it to be almost the same if not slightly faster.

In terms of handling it is better than the Pulsar, the steering is just perfect. I reckon my Pulsar would have the edge in wet weather.

One thing I will say is I can and have driven my Pulsar round the track with one hand, leaving my left hand on the gearstick to change gears fast ;)
You simply cannot do that on the VXT, thanks to lack of PAS you have to have a firm two hand grip on the wheel at all times as the wheel moves around all over the place!

I use my S1 everyday and it's absolutely fine. Boot is big enough for 2 weeks shopping and it's comfortable to drive even for long distances.

Drive one for more than 10 minutes and none of those things matter :)
