VX220 Turbo's are...

I find the 120bhp from my Standard S2 more than enough to have plenty of fun.

I'm also a "Larger" driver, and once you get the hang of it, getting in and out of these cars isn't bad at all.

Isn't that accepted though when you want to go fast without the help of FI ? :)
don't get me wrong,i can really admire the way honda can get that kind of power and performance from relatively small engines.
it's just the power delivery that i have a problem with.

Have you driven one? The power delivery is fantastic, it pulls well from 2000rpm right up to 8250rpm, I never find myself without power (unlike with turbo engines)

several.
i just don't like them.
to make serious progress requires a little too much stick shifting for my liking.

I find it's the exact opposite, they have plenty of power all the time and I never need to downshift to get moving quickly.

Maybe it's my driving style, who knows?

seems i'm not alone though.
it's all down to personal taste to be honest.
if we all wanted and enjoyed exactly the same thing the world would be a pretty boring and stagnant place.

They're just Will's opinion though. As he's had twin turbo Supras and mega modded Scoobys I expect he was more used to that torque surge which you get on turbo cars. The VTEC doesn't *feel* fast but it certainly is.

If you don't like em then fair enough but for a fun, drivable car I think they're brilliant.

i've had a veritable smorgasbord of vehicles and the VTEC's just don't appeal to me.
tried lots of them and they just don't appeal or excite me.
i really admire the way they accomplish their design brief, and the level of precision engineering Honda has brought to the mass market, but they just don't float my boat so to speak.
