Warhammer 40k: Space Marine

Just finished the demo...

It was mindless fun but in no world am I paying anything more than £10 for that. Health was weird, it makes no sense why I am gaining health from killing Orks, I'm not a vampire?

Hah yeah, I did wonder how they came up with that as a mechanic. Smash an Ork, regain health?! Still, it's 40K and I like bashing Orks :p

i have pre ordered this , now i have played it im thinking of cancelling and getting deus ex this weekend instead.
im just not 100% sure at the minute i have been told it has campaign 4 player coop if this is the case i might keep it on the list

AFAIK it comes with Single Player Campaign and Multi-player but co-op will be added within a month of release. This info may be out of date though but that's what was planned.

Initially I wasn't sure about the combat system. But after playing the demo a lot last night, it's really grown on me. Cannot wait for September 9th! Also Kill Team is quite fun as well. 40k has got a decent presence on consoles at last!

I have changed my mind about this game and dropped my pre-order, I just have this feeling its going to be very repetitive through out, I will wait until a few more people get this and see how the multiplayer pans out......I think it will be the only thing that will save this game to be honest.

I will wait for the reviews.

I have Dead Island coming on that day anyway.

Its Crap, Graphics poor, its clunky, no cover system, dumb enemies, bland voice acting , Orks with cockney voices repeating the same lines over and over, aw c,mon??

The no cover system is a good thing, who actually likes cover systems anymore? Its the most overused crap in the gaming industry.

I enjoyed the demo, will be buying it, as said the weapons do feel really satisfying to use.

Completely agree, downloaded the demo and you'd need to be a serious warhammer fan to want to endure playing through this one.

Graphics are poor, lighting was poor, it seemed slow moving until you get a swarm of orks with those stupid voices, you perform the same move over and over and over to finally get through the wave of oncoming orks and you move on to the next wave of orks..

The no cover was a bit of a surprise to me, nah. Pointless game IMO but then that’s IMO, many fans of the genre will enjoy this no doubt but not for me.

Doesn't appear to be getting great reviews either..

Okay, thanks for that, probably best if you run back to gears of war...

I don't understand why people are whining about there not being a cover system. From all appearances, it's not a game that promotes hiding behind a wall taking pot-shots at the enemy

http://www.cinemablend.com/games/Wa...ne-Exterminatus-DLC-Coming-October-34806.html

Relic Entertainment is preparing some co-op downloadable content for their third-person action game Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. The Exterminatus DLC will be released in October for free.

The Exterminatus mode is an online-only survival mode for four players. A group of Space Marines must hold out as long as they can against an assault by orks and other enemies. You'll die eventually so the objective is to simply hang in there and rack up as many points as you can. All XP that you earn will count toward your normal multiplayer rank.

The mode will be released with two maps, Assault on Hab Center Andreas and Escape from Kalkys Facility. Each will sport dynamic objectives, scoring modifiers and leaderboards. Hopefully those features will be enough to keep you playing them over and over again.

:o :D

Let the whining babies keep their precious gears of war, this is AWESOME!!

Well, what makes you think I'm a big fan of gears of war? Or even own an Xbox360 to actually play it?

I played the demo as PSN had it on there, didn't think much to it and agreed with another poster, its just not a game for me and I did state warhammer fans should like it - just not a game i'd see myself playing..

What is wrong with that?
