Warhammer Total War Confirmed

The campaign map is annoying me - I can zoom in smoothly for a time, but then it seems to break and I can either zoom in close to the ground or really far out, nothing in between.

My imperial campaign has been so eventful. Chaos came down smashing everything from the north, managed to hold the line at altdorf. They then tried again from the east. Managed to unite the human races under one alliance and Brettonia helped lift 2 sieges on Altdorf in some massive open battles. Now the chaos are no more and everyone is starting to fall out with each other, it's great :D

I'll have to see if mine devolves into further war. The empires hovered up most of the human states same as I bagged all the dwarf ones so it's full on racial conflict if it comes to it :o
Could be interesting :D

Who am I kidding... ****IN' BRING IT YE GRET LANKY ****S :D

I have pushed east and then south as the Empire - Chaos forces are gathering though and I am starting to get a little uneasy, especially since my armies seem quite weak due to a few things I didn't realised had changed with the Total War games. I like this uncertainty :)

Well, at least it's realistic, but look at it this way... you contributed absolutely nothing to the fight and everyone had to do it without you. :p

True....guess that's the problem with being the furthest south and protected by a load of mountains....every other faction is exposed to the Chaos and the Greenskins don't get touched.....which is a bit frustrating when the game almost makes them out to be the main protagonists.

Definitely getting the conquer anywhere mod - really annoying that I have a couple of dwarf settlements in the middle of my empire that I can't remove and that keep attacking me.

Very true, but it's also consistent with the lore, hence why Dwarves and Greenskins are mortal enemies... they are essentially neighbours who share the same mountain ranges.

I imagine not every game plays the same and that there is some variance in terms of AI conflicts, so maybe it was just the luck of the draw on the playthrough you had. :)

True, but raze them and wipe them out and it's problem solved.

I like how it's stuck to the lore and not let, for example, the Empire to set up in Zhufbar, it's a little annoying but does make sense.

I think a nice.... mod might be for human factions that re-settle vamp ruins to have a chance of spawning a weak vamp rebel stack at random :p
Someone found and opened a coffin, was taken and turned before they could shout about it and an insidious undead society was quietly formed somewhere in the bowels of the city :p

Well my dwarf playthrough is back on the up seeing as the orcs managed to wipe half of themselves out trying to retake a province I had defended, I've now come across the dreaded hero spamming though and a goblin assassin is just making his way around slaughtering all my generals prior to an attack which is nice :(

Can't download any mods either as I've got no internet apart from at work :( so at the moment I've got an elite army I had forgotten about on the other side of the map wandering around wiping out all their undefended territories, my tactic will be to wipe them out through their economy I reckon!

That is actually a cool idea!

I'm encountering this problem now too. Agent spam is annoying and they are damn difficult to defend against ( as dwarves at least anyway ). Any tips for countering agent spam, or is it simply a case of using mods to neuter them ?

Can't you tether your phone for 10 mins to find and download the small mod?

Playing as Empire, enjoying it a LOT. I'm on about turn 80, conquered maybe half of the empire lands but only just getting stuck in with the Undead. Killed off one of the Vampire factions but now left with Vampire Counts and they are considerably more powerful. Quite often I'm getting my ass handed to me by these guys, they just have an absolute tonne of troops. I thought using cannons might help my armies but nope. Anyone got any tips for battling these guys with Empire? It seems like crossbows are useless against zombies and skeleton warriors btw.

Despite having about 12 settlements in total I can only really support 2 full stack armies - does this sound about right?

What you can support depends on your income, so unless you maximise every ounce of income through your buildings and tech tree then your ability to field multiple are will be restricted.

I hone in on their Lords and focus them down. The undead crumbling mechanic does the rest.
