Warhammer Total War Confirmed

Bought this over the weekend and took today off to play it all day

Loving it so far, ive played Total War since Rome 1 and i must say this game is striking, attention to detail is also amazing
 
Hello fellow Warriors of Total

I was wondering if anyone could help, I have tried to find a fix but am unable to do so.

When ever my Beast-men successfully "Ambush" an army after the map loads its very dark, black even and the FPS goes so low that it's unplayable.

I have found a reference to the error on the link below but no resolution, does anyone have any advise?

I am running a R9 390 on Windows 10

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Because it's impossible to hold them all. I had one game where I successfully held a bunch of them for most of the game until the Greenskins had finished with whatever they were doing and came for me. The trouble is they move further than you so it's impossible to get back to defend, and every town they take pushes them into Waaaaagh, which is a nightmare.

Ok, can understand that, I'd probably do it differently next time.

On a side note, my Dwarf campaign issue was a bug, posting on the CA forums they pointed me at a hotfix for it.

Not impossible, just takes time. Took me ~230 turns to slowly take over the southern part of the map and remove all ork presence.
 
That Denuvo fluff has been bypassed and the scene has exploded with pirates downloaded it en masse along with all the DLC.

So there you have it. Whatever protection is implemented into these games it makes very little difference in terms of 'lost sales through piracy rubbish', as most pirates will never buy it and will simply choose to wait.
 
people complaining about paying for new races :rolleyes:

Dawn of war... great games, charged for new races same business model

Stop complaining, if you want to play new races/campaigns then cough up

I think the issue is that the campaign is pretty short and not necessarily seen as a fair value...?

Although I agree with other posters that if you feel that way simply wait until a sale to buy it. Or don't buy it. :)

The price is OK I suppose but they're really crapping the DLC out aren't they? I want to support the devs as I love the game and think they've done an amazing job with it, but buying all this DLC is going to end up costing a fortune (and yes, you can't piecemeal something like this - go big or go home :D) and despite my immense impatience, I'll be waiting for a GOTY version to get (unless the rumoured Skaven DLC drops very very soon).

Yup.

Enough content as is to play for quite awhile.

Yep and if you wait you'll not only get it cheaper but combined with driver optimisations and bug fixes it'll run smoother. Early adopters always get hammered sadly.
 
So guys, its been a couple of months since I touched Warhammer Total War due to lack of gaming time and it seems like there have been a few updates... how is the game playing at the moment? :)
 
Confederations are the key to the Dwarfs campaign as while you're building these relationships, you can use allies (defensive alliances etc) to pester the wargghh armies etc. But, don't confederate too early and make sure you can take the diplomatic penalty for 5 turns without annoying the other dwarf factions too much (agreements help a lot). I found them a little tricky to start off with but from around turn 50 upwards they were easy.

Haven't played any Total War games before, which is odd as I love C&C, Starcraft etc and there are some good similarities there.

I've been missing out. It's fantastic!

One thing though - if I have three full stacks fighting an enemy army together, I only seem to get a subset of the units available from the other two as reinforcements. Seems to be fine when it is only 2 full stacks. Did I do something wrong?
 
I do have a problem with the Empire campaign.

I have build in 3 different provinces, Armoury, Gunsmith, Engineer building and the barracks.
However I cannot recruit troops stating that I am missing the buildings.

Do I have to have all buildings in same province? According to the research tree the buildings exist and I can research the techs.
