I am having problems running the last two sets of DLC...

Can anyone tell me what files/folders they have in the Total War Warhammer/data/campaign folder?

Something seems wrong as if I delete the game, all the DLC shows as uninstalled. If I click install then the last 2 DLC are instantly ticked as installed - so I am guessing something is wrong.

Yep, restarted a couple of weeks ago. I was never going to play beastmen but its nice that CA added them to the campaign to fight against as AI for free. I really like the Chaos units but I'm struggling to enjoy the campaign on them.

I'll be picking this up though for the weekend. :)
 
I am planning to start playing again soon, but will likely wait until all DLC is released before I sink too much free time into it. Then I will probably play it for years, along with all the inevitable awesome and highly mature mods that will make it The Best Game Ever™.
 
Elves are bloody hard. I could only support 2 full army stacks at most even though i held 8 provinces. I was trying to manage the amber and keep a few spare, until my allies decided attacking each other which ruined my amber economy and meant my 2 only armies couldn't recover their casualties after battles. The only way you can increase them back to full health is by merging units, but because my area is so large, i have to be dependant on the expensive global recruitment.

Then, the beastmen popped in with 3 armies at the back end of my empire and razed 3 settlements in 3 turns which i couldnt do anything about, which took me down to -5 amber! The catch 22 of it is that you need to spend a huge amount of money and troops to restore these razed settlements. But the elves harddly have any financial income and when you do eventually restore the razed settlements, I'm still in an amber deficit so my army won't recover the men used to restore the province!

Only Bretonnia is remaining, and going to be FREE DLC in February, closing the "Old World".

Afterwards, the second part of the game will be added. And is a full blown game on it's own, per se.

Because CA has said, there are going be 3 independent games over the next few years, and if someone has all 3 of them, can play the complete WHFB world. (Old World, New World, Nasaroth, Ulthuan, Khermi, Southlands, Araby).

So no need to hold on, because there are still many factions and big chunks of game to be added with the future games-expansions
(Ulthuan - High Elves, Nasaroth - Dark Elves, Lustria - Lizardmen*, Khermi - Tomb Kings**, Skaven, Chaos Dwarves, Ogres Kingdoms)

*Looking forward to Lizards & TK. my favourite armies in WHFB.

You dont need to tell me this stuff mate, I've been following this game since conception and am a massive Warhammer lore nut.
 
Having tried over the last two weeks to play TW Warhammer, must say the addition of the Wood Elves broke the campaign completely for Beastmen and Empire.

Worst addition of a faction in TW game ever.


And I am not complaining also that 9 out of 10 games, WE allies with Chaos!!!!! breaking the Lore

That's stupid surely that's a bug?!
 
Any tips in Wood Elf army formations? Struggling a little bit in the small amount of time that I've played as they seem pretty poor in any form of Melee. I've been relying WAY too much on Glade Guard :/

Who knows. Apparently is a bug that can form a Confederation by turn 10 with the other 3 WE. Making it a super faction by turn 20.

But alliance with Chaos looks normal for CA. Because it has huge negative aversion with all the other factions. Especially the human ones.

Which it shouldn't, at least not before you provoke them.


I have rolled back to Update 4, via the beta Tab option, on Steam game properties. The game is much better without WE in game, and more balanced.
