Warhammer: Vermintide

falling more and more in love with this game. (except for the loot server error!)

the dialogues some characters have during the game just has me in stitches. :D

I bought this last night as I thought it looked good and people were comparing it to L4D. I'm a big fan of L4D 2 and spent over 1400hrs playing that

Though I won't be able to play it till next week and none of my friends have it, so it will be interesting to see how I get on with the community.

It also only cost me £12.49 from cdkeys :D

Its actually quite addictive but teamwork is the key. Deffo better with friends

And on that note anyone who wants a game add me on steam passey4

Hilarious bug last night on The White Rat (hard mode). We usually run nightmare and have completed 2 (i think) on Cataclysm but TWR was just insane. Constant rat spawn without break, by the time we died (about 2 mins in) we had over 800 kills.

Definitely a great game for 4 people on TS, very L4D2-esque. I just wish they'd fix the loot rolls so you could pick below your minimum roll... So close to an orange bow last night and ended up with a blue blunderbuss ¬_¬(rolled 5, needed 6 :()

I grabbed this just. Looks like fun so I'm gonna give it a go.

It's great fun, especially with friends on voice comms :)
Although very frenetic at times when you get into a melee and something like an assassin grabs one of the team, or you run into a patrol of storm vermin unexpectedly.

Dwarf on ur team helps loads with the storm vermin kill them in a couple hits.

Knight hammer for the win. Plink plink on their heads and you are sorted. I do tend to board and mace with the knight mostly thanks to my epic knock back and stamina perks on a blue I picked up. Good for holding a line.

Witch hunters' Axe is brilliant for storm vermin, just not so good for hordes! good balance i think.

Dwarves are great as well. In regards to ranged, rifles and crossbows will 1shot a special and stormvermin with a headshot.

yeah I only play witch hunter, but a my friend plays Dwarf. I usually just hide behind him and poke everything with the rapier :D

Are there any plans in the pipeline from the devs? Or have they now just walked away calling it a success?

Again, I don't want to buy currently due to the loot issues and no real end game goals.

There was an AMA on Reddit regarding where they go from here, from what I understand of it they're spending the meantime troubleshooting the final bugs in the game and upgrading the capacity of their own servers to deal with the apparently unprecedented demand. From what they've said, the current spate of maintenance on the backend is brought on by sheer demand that they hadn't anticipated.

In the long term there is talk of both free and paid DLC, dedicated servers to deal with the issues of a host dropping and migrating to a new game, they've then talked about the desire to add more playable characters (although not any specifics), more special Skaven to deal with (again, no specifics) and also future expansions to deal with other horde-like forces.

I couldn't really be any more excited for the game, i'm hoping they can just keep it all together, given how much exposure it was given in such a short space of time, the acclaim it has had from critics and how popular it has proven on release.

I like the 1 handed axe and shield combo.

Normal attacks do armor pen and it has a fast swing for dealing with mobs.

Just had ago, played as the witch hunter and managed to win the first map on normal. Seems that my left 4 dead skills came in handy. Looking forward to trying the other maps and classes over the week end. So far looks pretty promising, bar some bugs like hit boxes being a bit off on using ranged weapons.
