Wasteland ARMA II Mos : Server Details

My original plan was to do it in a gun store as it is a no fire zone...

$1000 and you can take whatever you like from the cache, including satchels/mines/IEDs/rpg's or whatever I have at the time.

Surely it would be tempting for a new spawn to just come in and be fully geared up?

Don't pay and bad things will happen and I have the perfect way of doing this without breaking any server rules.

what happens when the server restarts you will loose everything
 
Ok guys!

Next update is coming along nice!

I have weapons and items spawning within buildings. No hand held weapons, only launchers, as we know there are loads of rifles etc within the cars etc!

As well as launchers, we also have mines, IEDs 2types, medium and large. We also have NV goggles spawning within the buildings!

Working on possibly adding first aid to independents only! Will see how that goes!

Packs of dogs are working, they maybe friendly to you, you never know!

Plus as in change log, making the guards at the mission spawns more vicious and numerous!

One change in missions will be the scud launch mission, will be changed to call in airstrike mission with a laser designator!

Just join the server and it will download the mission file for you! You do need ACR lite or the latest DLC with is ACR.. Link in first post for the lite patch!

I think people want more "fun" missions in such as tanks/helo recovery.

Find a radio in a base and then you can use it to call in airdrop for selectable ammo caches/vehicles.

Destroy/Capture Convoy.

Destroy radar station.

Rescue/Capture - Bluefor have to rescue NPC in heavily armed base. Can call in heli to extract the NPC. Same for OpFor. Independants job is to make completing the mission for other teams hell. Could result in use of chopper or ammo/vehicle drop later.

Kill team leader. One team at random has a base appear with HVT in it. Say it is BlueFor. BlueFor has to stop target from being killed while OpFor/Inde has to kill the target.

Laser designator spawns. Able to call in some CAS/Arty strike. Either jet or attack helo that lets off its payload and flies away.

Most of these are probably hard to do. Im nackered and can hardly see so these probably don't make sense.

I was thinking about the spawn beacon and Medic last night, might do away with the beacon altogether and implement a revive script which incorporates spawning next to team mates ar a mobile hq... Which would be good for team play.

Independents won't have they luxury of spawning near team mates/mobile hq.

Playing as Independent they can be very useful in helping me stay local to a enemy base or a weapons cache I've found, Otherwise I'm usually spending a lot of time trying to get back to where i was killed. And I get killed a lot:p

Mobile spawn HQ's for blufor and opfor would be good, as well as the spawn beacons for all..

That's probably easier to do as well..
 
I think the good thing about this game is that when you die, like DayZ you're not immediately back into the fight.. Any chance of making the spawn beacon a longer timer and the random spawn just leave the same?

Otherwise people will just repeatedly reinforce the/a base/point and it'll be a case of who has the most ammo and tbh people will just abuse it camping at points not caring about dying. I like the satisfaction of clearing an area and when I look behind me, someone hasnt spawned and popped me in the back. Long time counter strike player.. was good knowing your enemy was dead ;)

Also instead of spawning with a beacon, make them purchasable.. for a small amount and make the beacon a one time use? If this is all possible. At least if the beacon is purchaseable and a one time use, you can get back once but after that you need to be careful and go get another beacon?

I'd recommend changing the beacon to something else if possible.. as almost everytime I've deployed it, I've hurt myself. Killed myself aswell lol.. I'm wondering if its the shape of the object that does it.. unless you can make it place another foot in front of you?

As for the missions, yeah they definitely need to be more frequent. Tonic has his set to depop when they're not completed perhaps you could do that so at least all missions remain but if people aren't interested then they don't stay up for hours. I don't think any of the missions are overly boring, you're already adding more resistance to them so thats good. Everything has its use but there could definitely be more heli/armour missions. Also an explosives mission where its nothing but javelins/rpgs/iglas/ieds/satchel charges in the weapons cache but the mission prompt says its the explosives stash. I dont think many people care for the normal caches only in hope they might be a vehicle cache to rearm.

If you could add in a random spawn base with a static respawn point that would work well, at least it would mean a base is already setup and I think people would fight for it quite a lot especially if its well known. Would have to be heavily fortified and a good bit of cover though.

Jet mission would be good, spawning it at one of the three airfields.. that'd be freaking sweet I think everyone would be interested in that. Perhaps only spawn heavily armed planes and then at another airfield spawn a weapons cache with a few iglas in to combat it.. so people could decide what they want to do. I know how cool it'd be to see a jet flying over, I dunno about you guys and then all of a sudden your world was destroyed.. hey at least if someone has a jet if its two man you can do pickups from the debug world ;)
