Awww give us the none thermal version without the laser designator in, will be great for firefights.. you know you wanna ;D
 
What do.you mean mate?
The laser designator is in the vehicle cargo, you remove it then laser a target to call in the airstrike.
 
Sorry I mean can you give us the mission file that takes out the thermal weapons?

For me I think thats the biggest change to gameplay and would make for quite a bit of fun and would mean you could peak from a wall and give cover fire without immediately giving your position away. I've been trying to play without using the l85 but I feel so disadvantaged when I hear an AS50/l85 being fired at me that I have to swap back, keeping one with me at most times at the moment.
 
Just found this addon. Not released yet but could be an option for the future.

BTK Player Restore (Multiplayer Autosave)

sxp2high informed the community about his BTK Player Restore addon. This addon makes autosaves in multiplayer every 10 seconds and you will resume exactly where you left off in case you crashed out of the server.
It saves Weapon, backpack, backpack content, weapon on back (ACE), animation, current weapon, damage and more...
This will be released soon as addon and script versions. The addon will work for all missions with JIP functionality and the script version can be used by mission makers to enable this feature in their missions!

Just explain to everyone what it does and its benefits.

I'll add a link to the mods available to use client side as soon as I can.

Thats my presets atm when I run the game, ACEX_SM is awesome. Especially for explosions. Found that the JSRS sound file was a bit tinny, ACEX_SM is a lot more realistic sounding (not commenting on authentic tho as I really dont know :P)

I'll try the ace sm again, but it throughs up huge errors within the rpt file because some of the sounds aren't in the standard game.
 
I was getting an error but it was because

1) Arma 2 launcher was pointing to my free folder though I own the full game
2) I wasnt running CO through Arma 2 launcher
3) You only need ACEX_SM not the rest of the ACE/ACEX stuff

Worked fine through six launcher though with the presets you see in the screen shot above.

So far!

Thermal weapons have been removed. Two variants of the L85 have been introduced.
3 new capture the jet missions have been inserted.
Random spawning of anti vehicle and anti personnel weapons inside buildings.
Three roaming vehicles with a laser designator in cargo. One of each team! Will allow an airstrike to be called in.
IEDs and mines removed from cache, guess where you find them now..
Random air patrols by blufor and opfor ai. Can be any air vehicle..
Scud launcher mission changed to mobile artillery.
Removed logo to reduce the size of mission by more than 1/4.
Increased beacon count usage.
Increased chance of weapons spawning within vehicles.
Increased vehicle count.
Added CAN_COLLIDE to armour vehicle spawns. Should spawn exactly where the random function chooses.


Removed the dogs for this release, causing some problems!

WIP for next release!
Mobile spawn HQs for Blufor & Opfor.
IED detection unit for vehicles!
 
Slight bug with the welcome message, so turned it off..

Not that great an issue!

Probably ready!!

But server is pretty full so will leave it until later tonight!!
 
Most of the server is aware that it could be restarted for the new mission. They seem up for it so get it on there!
 
Got a problem guys!!

Server is kicking everyone who joins after 5 minutes on the new mission file!!

Will investigate and find out why!
