Wasteland ARMA II Mos : Server Details

All friendlies will show name if you have them in your sights up to 200 mtrs away..

The range is just me showing hw ar it works on recruit mode..

Obviously we run veteran mode where the range will not show..

Battleye has released an update.. Lots of failed updates because of how busy it is, if it doesn't say updating while in the lobby, reconnect and try again. Took me 4 attempts.
 
I won't say it's a sever thing , but it sort of is... More the way the code is structured.

The server basically was loading everyone in and constantly doing checks on them.
So we now lock the server with one person in, and vehicles spawn straight away..

Are they still big ones, or are the majority 50mil cannons on top?

Most of them can be taken out with any heavy guns, which are still plentiful!

Also, most if not all AI carry rpgs, plus you have enough money from spawn to buy a Javelin!
 
Not much to add to the weekends update!!

Added a few more player selections in Blufor & Opfor!

Changed GUER to correct models...

Changed roaming AI to Civilian group, so they attack all!

Cleaned up some code!


Will upload sometime tomorrow morning!

That was me shooting at you originally! Then my pc froze and had to alt-tab out!

You were shooting at my static dead body just before you killed Dane!

You were very lucky, I missed you by about and inch with the first shot!
 
restart seemed to clean the lag up. Possibly due to the 50 players?

After restart everything was smooth and good games. Apparently friendly tags were working for other people but not me which was strange :confused:


Defo need a smaller amount of people to be effective, anymore than 4 or 5 in a group and its just a cluster-fudge.

Are you sure, did you look at the top right just below weapon and ammo description?

It wouldn't work for some and not others mate, it was/is a server side script!
 
Ok guys.. suggestions noted..

Weekend is mine anyway.

What I need from people are suggestions of skins that can be used for guerilla, blufor and opfor.

If it helps identify even more then.obviously its a good thing.

Easiest way to do this is to go into the editor and place one of each type and make them playable.

This woukst allow you to see each skin.

Or head over to armaholic and see if the skins are there.

Remember we need medics and engineers also.

Just a little update!

Put 5 choppers in, which will each spawn on one of 7 random locations around the map!

We have, 3 little birds, 1 standr huey and 1 insurgent camo huey!
 
Sweet sounds good! Just dial down the amount of heavy armored vehicles and we are onto a winner I think!

A few global bans handed out tonight on the server. Ck88 was one of them so I hope thats a false positive.

Can you guys do me a favour and post on this discussion I started. Trying to drum up some more interest in the server. Cheers!

I was thinking max ten or 12!

Again, spawned randomly around the map!
 
Been on the server for the first time tonight and totally loved it. Took me about 3 hours to work out what the hell was going off though. Probably would have took me a lot longer if it wasn't for the 2 guys on there i met that helped me out. Gotta say though i'm probably gonna be wasting a hell of a lot of hours on that server.

I am spending more time customising it than playing at the moment, glad to hear you enjoyed it.

Next update will make it even more easier to indentify friend or foe...
 
Marker loving the server so far, you've done a great job.

Just one thing.
As Heli's now spawn with fuel so no need to have the fuel truck for that mission, do you not think the tank mission should also spawn with fuel? We had the chance for four of them yesterday but never came across a fuel truck :(

Just a suggestion.

I was trying to add some balance!

This is where having a base camp really helps. The fuel truck mission is still important, so is the enemy base mission, as fuel barrels will spawn, which can be loaded onto any truck and transported to the empty vehicle!

The tank as I see it is a major piece of armament, kinda forcing you to protect it until you can get it fuelled! No point making it super easy now, is there ?

Also, helis at the mission will be zero fuelled from next release, as there will be the random 5 heli spawns with random amount of fuel in place.

Also, how would random IEDs placed along the roads sound, they can be defused and stored?
