Wasteland ARMA II Mos : Server Details

I think the armoured vehicles are good but with them all on tyres, we end up with a lot of expensive paperweights. Maybe a few tracked vehicles would be good... at least then they'd stay around for a while and do a lot of damage. Not saying this for me but its nice to have a challenge to shoot at :D

I'd be more in favour of more tank missions, less spawned apcs so you dont go round every corner and go.. look another apc!

You do know, if you totally destroy a vehicle, it will be cleaned up and then respawned elsewhere!

The armoured vehicles spawns are tied into the civilian vehicles just now! Next release they will be removed from that particular instance!

The way the original spawn script was written, doesn't give you very much control on what type or how many of each vehicle spawns!

There will be a maximum of 12 armoured vehicles, still to be decided what ones. They will be like the new helicopter spawn, be randomly spawned into one of 7 or 8 random spawn points around the map!

If you guys can give suggestions of what you would like, I will obviously take that on board!!

Might be me modding the mission, but it is you guys that are playing it just now!
 
Deffo need some better skins for the different teams... to me the color of opfor and blufor are too close together...

Marker are they loaded server side? can we use some from Armaholic?

I would suggest one team green camo one team maybe desert cammo and the indies in civi clothes or something along them lines

I asked last page for some suggestions for player models!

Use the ones from Armaholic as a guide!

Remember you can use BAF and PMC as well! As, most if not all have the lite patches at least for these two!

No I can put the skins n you guys want to use as blufor etc.

Right now of the top if my head there are three different factions in blufor, baf, us and German ksk. Within that the different operators have slightly different skins as well.
 
Slight update!

Looks like with the help of Sa-matra I have got the icons working!

Well, there were no errors when I start up the test version on my personal server!

Also, the player menu bug is possibly fixed, needs tested by more players!

Monday morning for new upload!
 
Lol... No probs mate, as long as it is working..

Got a few surprises in store for next update..

Kids have been sleeping early, so had time to work on the next release...
 
For some reason tht night/day cycle goes out of synch occasionally!

One of the admins will restart it soon enough!

Oh, and if you were independent, then if another independent kills you it will show friendly fie! It's a small bug that needs squashed!
 
Ok Update!

Version 5 Release!

Icons over friendly player heads working!
Armoured Vehicles and Helis now have separate spawn routines!
5 Helis : 3 Little Birds, 1 standard Huey & 1 Camo Huey!
12 Armoured vehicles. 4 Tracked, 8 Wheeled! : This number can be added to!
All vehicles spawn with random fuel, weapons & damage!
Heli mission : Heli is now empty of fuel on spawn!
NW Airfield is now heavily guarded! : Please report back to me on this please, all 3 factions!
 
Few little bugs I thought I had fixed haven't been..

Giot them fixed on my version on pc.

Fixed player menu bug and forgot to re-manage the original spawn routine to exclude the extra armoured vehicles.

The helis are def spawning in mate.. Mike confirmed this on fri night with a camo Huey. Plus new spawn routine doesn't interact with original one.
 
The thing is mate, because it isn't persistent the hackers wont attack it as much!

You're not losing anything when you die! Of course you are going to get the odd hacker here and there, but I think no way as much as dayz!
