Nobody is saying that, what people are saying is that there's no way you can know who has done this based on DLC release date alone.
I think one of the most apparent and recent one was Deus Ex taking a part out of the middle of the game, quite literally, then adding it on for extra.
Not only that, it was such a bad idea in my opinion, I had already finished the game so knew the ending(s), so going back and playing a portion of the game which was touted in the manner of "oooh what happened while you were away- let's find out" was boring, it was a few hours worth of content I would have better enjoyed if I played it in the order of the story.
Same goes for Mass Effect, while I'm not saying they cut it out of the game, I'm, simply stating I hate content that adds on content which becomes obsolete. After the nonsense that was the ending of ME3 I couldn't stomach giving a **** what content they added which happened "before".
I can't be the only one, which means money lost for them because I won't buy it. People who do buy it, would still have bought it had they added it on day-one DLC like we're seeing here.
So yeah, you can tell I hate it!
