Going by the pictures and video gameplay the graphics are not amazing. If the game came out last year, then yeah it would be pretty good. But Im hoping that the gameplay is actually the main point of the game

may i ask how you did the settings for supersampling, both to enable supersample as well as the resolution please
Followed this for a while now but held off pre-ordering it knowing how quickly the price drop. I caved in last night and sailed the seven seas all day to obtaining a copy to test out before buying it...So glad I did, what a load of crap. Just plays out like assassins creed but with a mobile phone and I'm pretty sure the boats in black flag handle the same if not better than the cars do.
Tempted to re-install Uplink now for some proper hacking gameplay as opposed just some rubbish "press x to complete the mission" garbage.
So glad I didn't pre-order.

Have to agree with you. This game was hyped up soo much, but imo has fallen flat on its face.

Because it isnt a very good game. Im sure it will score well though given the complete lack of integrity in games journalism nowadays.
I stopped caring what games "journalists" thought a long time ago. Best to read thoughts from actual normal people who aren't bought. That goes for games/news/politics or anything really

I am starting to prefer journalist reviews over the emotionally driven user reviews that you see on places like metacritic.

Even if it's 70% as good as GTA V was, it'd still be an amazing game.
The graphics are better than GTA V, the gameplay looks very similar, so unsure what people want?

Great missions, fantastic characters and a good story. We shall see if this can manage those as well because, you know, graphics can only go so far.

The graphics are not better than GTA V at all, unless you are comparing PC at 4K with ultra settings VS console version of GTA V.
Come on man GTA V on PC would look much better than Watch Dogs on PC..
However there is some good news,
New AMD driver 14.6 to bring 25-28% better performance and AMD claims it will provide up to 99% scaling to Watch Dogs.

You can drive pretty easily without the cops coming after you... Only time I've had them come after me is when I've been shooting civilians on the street but even then its easy to get out of the radius before they get to you.
It is a bit annoying how fast the cops are but I didn't have the same problem with you about not being able to find loads of things to get away from them with. Loads of gates to open and then close once you go through, poles to raise, trains to stop, traffic lights to make green, etc
Not really tried the crimes or main story so can't comment on that.

AMD are dropping new driver anytime though this will improve performance and hopefully PC will get patch for graphics etc. The E3 reveal was what made this game stand out, everyone thought wow this is 'next gen'. Thus the hype train began. Those graphics just aren't in the final product though..
I think with patches (Lot's of them) and new drivers, this still could be an ok game. It's def not great as it is right now though. The mechanics of the game are solid, but current graphics and optimization are way off. Nothing like the reveal @ E3 2012.
