Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

Taking the plunge I guess. Was a definite buy last year but with all the rumors about recently I have waivered, but that video 2 pages back, as simple as it was I liked the look of it, and there is no reliable try before buy version so..

I don't know why everyone is making such a drama out of this. Wait for the reviews and player comments to come out tomorrow, if it looks good to you, buy it. Simple!

all the bickering is so moronic, for the love of god dont let metacritic be the basis of your purchase.

The amount of negative hype that surrounds some titles before release (titanfall, ESO, Wildstar, Watchdogs etc) just has all the tools jumping on metacritic to rate the game a low score because their pirate copy didnt impress them.

On an actual on topic comment, of those who are purchasing or have purchased the game for release, do you think you will be playing with online enabled from the start?

Personally i was against this initially, but now i think im going to at least try it from the start, if it sucks then i wont be too worried about it resetting my skills as i wont use it again :)

That's my thoughts on online play too. I'm not overly keen on it from the video's I've seen. However, I will withhold final judgement 'till I try it myself.

Been playing WD this morning on a mates PS4 as he got it early, lucky sob.
The game is actually really good, imo Ubisoft have done well. After playing for a couple hours the city does feel alive like GTA. There are loads of NPCs going about their business and it's good just to stroll around the city hacking people's phones etc.

The visuals are impressive on PS4 so I can't wait to play it on PC and see what it's like. The one thing that did look pretty damn awesome is the water effects, the sea looks so realistic I think I'd rather drive a boat around rather than on the roads!

Vehicle handling is actually not too bad, it's not quite GTA but still pretty good. All in all I enjoyed playing it and looking forward to tomorrow when I hope the postie drops a parcel through the door.

Hardly anyone talks about the gameplay, so its really hard to get a good view on it.

Exactly. The majority of posts here are just negative opinions about how the graphics aren't that good. Personally I think it looks fine, I would rather people talk about the gameplay/story, as they are more deciding factors on whether a game is good or not.

It feels very Splinter Cell with the same crouch behind cover mechanic then moving from cover to cover before using melee take downs. Gunplay is pretty good, you can be stealthy or all out fire fight but losing the cops is not easy.

You are comparing Watch Dogs on PC to GTA V on PC which doesn't even exist? Jesus

Hold on their spud, someone else made that comparison. I said if GTA V was on PC it would look way better than Watch Dogs.

Watch Dogs is a bit worse than / on par with GTA IV (4) at best.

It's kind of broken atm. It may get fixed.

It doesn't matter anyway: Boomstick gets 60 FPS at 1440p locked whatever PC he's using.

Getting old now mate. It's not my fault I know how to build PC's and get the best out of them :p

Haters gotta hate :D
