Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

Performance is awful on this for a game that was delayed and meant to be a 'AAA' release. No CF support for ATI cards, sounds like SLI is not much better. Expected better from Ubisoft but it's evident the big studios still get away with 'beta' releases!

gang hideout missions! why cant i just kill them all but get bonus xp and rewards if i take them down without killing them, i end up taking the gang members non lethally that i have to and kill the rest, kinda unrealistic especially as the last objective is to kill them or escape? so why have i gone to the trouble of taking down 1 or 2 without killing them only to kill the rest!? enjoying the game so far but little things like this kinda annoy me, also why no custom tracks in the cars like gta!

Has anyone tried verifying their WD game cache on UPlay? Absolutely ridiculous, it constantly says there's corrupt files and regularly tries to download a phantom 2GBs worth of files on to my machine.

Crap performance in-game, crap DRM.

Crossfire actually works...I had problems with it yesterday but that was only because I had supersampling on... that combined with Temporal SMAA gave me negative scaling. 35 fps on a single compared with 12 fps on crossfire lol. Soon as I went to a lower AA option though it worked fine and I got 20 fps more in crossfire. So I guess it was a Vram issue or a CPU bound issue causing the negative scaling with supersampling and Temporal SMAA. As soon as I took supersampling off I had a boost with crossfire on any AA mode.
I still run single card though because even though I get more fps when running crossfire... it doesn't feel like im getting more... its not as smooth and a little jerky so Im running it just on a single card.

I'm barely buying games on PC these days and Watchdogs is a decent example. I have less time to play games that I used to so all these tweaks and fixes just to jump on and play seems a little too much now. Spent an extra 20 odd quid to play on PS4 :(

Apparently looks just as good as PC version maxed out so looking forward to getting involved :)

just ran into the middle of the street at night while it was raining and stoped and paned the camera, mighty impressed with these gfx, the rain on the pavements and the car headlights and everything make this look mighty realistic, the guys trenchcoat even looks like its actually wet, deffinitly the best looking game to date. better than crysis 3 imo!

Well I finally got this HEAP of a game to install correctly only to find that on the very first instance that you go outside at the start of the driving tutorial part, I would clip through the floor on the way to the car. Every time! Every damn time I restart the game, try to go round a long way or what ever, the entire pavement has clipping issues and I fall through the floor into limbo.

Cannot believe that a AAA game can get away with this.

Ahh this is annoying. I keep getting crashes in game with the watchdogs has stopped working/responding thing coming up.. very annoying in the middle of a mission.

To get SweetFX working in game - how I got it working

1. Go into the game and set AA to 0/off
2. Download this file and extract all to Bin folder inside WD folder
3. Disable MSI AB (not convinced this was a problem but did it)
4. Start the game
5. ALT+TAB and re-enable OSD if you wish

Good luck

what OS is that on BadBoy? because im doing exactly that and it still comes up with this message

Does it look as good as it was supposed to?

I really don't see that many differences to be honest at least its not as bad as all the whiners were making out. Of course theres always going to be differences between the finished product and a 2 year old version but the majority of it is the same... lighting is different... in the 2012 video the cars didn't even have working lights as far as I can tell...its pretty much all there just some things like the smoke effects in the nightclub and the explosion isn't as huge and dramatic but I wouldn't say it looks like a massive downgrade. The maxed out pc version now looks amazing. Its more just subtle changes.

behave yourself lol.

I wish I could post a picture of the PS4 version on a TV and the PC version on Ultra details on another screen right next to each other. It's good for PS4, but its not nearly the same as Ultra on PC. I'd say medium to high at best, and I've been playing the PS4 version in my neighbours apartment as I was curious. He was gob-smacked when he popped in and saw it running on my PC.
