Watch Dogs - Ubisoft's Third Person Shooter

I'm running an i5 [email protected](H100). 16GB(Patriot LE 2133Mhz), SLI 770(2GB, 1300Mhz OC), 1440P Asus Panel, WD running off an SSD.

I have adjusted so many settings and my best performance is disabling SLI (Yes I have the 'optimized' 337.88 nvidia drivers), defaulted clocks etc... I managed to play for 30 mins before the game crashed(recorded GPU temp 65c), even before then it was choppy. I can run any other game at max fine, many that appear to have more intensive visuals and AI (GTA 4 with ICE and all other mods at max come to mind! 60FPS+).

I'm requesting a refund. Its a shame, the game looks fun.

I have really enjoyed my time on it today. It has been great fun. It is just a shame that there are so many technical problems with it...I mean, it seriously needs improved driving and damage mechanics. It would improve the game 100%. I am usually very forgiving about driving in games like this, as I believe you will eventually get used to it and barely notice it, but this is particularly bad. Sleeping Dogs for example, was poor, but by the end I found it perfectly fine.

I found some fun things to do. I did an intrusion thing where I spied on some nutjob which was pretty funny. Unfortunately though, I randomly hacked the account of an undercover agent as I was wandering around, and now she has increased my online bounty, Very impressed with the online in this. It is a masterstroke!

Also, just been to Pawnee, but couldn't find Ron Swanson:(:p

anyone know how i get signal jammers to stop people calling the cops without killing them!? i can only seem to buy crafting stuff for lures and got a ton of them but have no idea how to get signal jammers or how to use them!
 
Think I will wait for performance issues to be fixed now.

I really need a new PC soon if people are getting performance issues on clocked 4770k's, I am only running an i5-2500k!
 
To get SweetFX working in game - how I got it working

1. Go into the game and set AA to 0/off
2. Download this file and extract all to Bin folder inside WD folder
3. Disable MSI AB (not convinced this was a problem but did it)
4. Start the game
5. ALT+TAB and re-enable OSD if you wish

Why can't I use my brother's binaries, why do I have to download them again? Steam does it!

edit - sussed it. For anyone moving installations or using someone's pre-downloaded binaries you'll also need the "uplay_install.state" file that lives in uplay\data\<game ID number>. Delete everything else that lives in that folder. Make sure your download directory in the game binary folder is empty too.

Terrible platform, I'm pirating the next Ubi release on principle.
