Hey just wanted some thoughts off you guys what do you reckon to watchdogs?
What do you like an dislike?
Do you reckon its as good as anticipated to be?

i dont think the game is as good as they made out i dont get the freerome feature as whe n i saw another player oculdnt do anything only only part im liking is the one on one hacking

What does this even mean? There's lots you can do in the world. As good as who made it out to be, It reviewed fairly average. It's my kind of game so I'm enjoying it tbh.
 
I'm using a 280x with a i7 4700k at 4ghz and 8gb of ram.
I cannot get a steady 60fps even on medium settings so I have locked the frame rate to 30fps and I can turn up all the settings to max with no drops or stutters.
I hope they get a patch out soon while it is ok playing at 30fps I would prefer a solid 60fps even if I have to drop a few settings
 
I've tried it over the last few days. My advice would be to wait for the version 2 xml file he will release shortly. The current version has broken light sources at night (lamp posts and other lights).

I've done a lot of tests and whilst it sounds promising, with the fault above and other stuff, I really can't see any difference between in game ultra settings and this file during the day. At night yes, but that's because the light sources are bust, so it looks different.
He needs to do a proper side by side, like for like comparison video at exact same time of day, because as it stands people are getting excited but there's no real 'proof' that its 'better'.

You will also need to tweak the file to your own settings - like resolution, vsync, all the other gubbins so you need to be comfortable editing a bit of code. It's not hard though really.
Most important thing is to make sure you set the file to READ ONLY after your tweaks other wise it will get overwritten by the game if you make any other minor changes in game.

Yeah looked at teh comparison pics he put up in his thread and they are clearly at different TOD's so the look completely different. Still think Sweetfx makes it look better being honest
 
This is pretty much unplayable on my machine. On the first mission trying to escape the cops and I'm getting really poor frame rates :(
