All this is very pretty but I can't help but find the first pages the most impressive... Nowadays it's just plug n play, buy this, buy that and screw it all together.... Those boys in 2003... Had a hard time of it for sure!

Me too. Can't beat a bit of ghetto bodging :D
It's the only thing that really motivates me to do new builds tbh.

Oh yeah, Malik, it looks nice, but where's the rest of it? :p

Isn't pretty what really matters? You can get great performance from air or AIO, so the only real reason to watercool is looks. The fact it's getting easier to do pretty watercooling can only be a good thing surely? And there are always modders who will take it to the next level.

I think most consider lower noise/temps and perhaps a bit of OC headroom as the major points before aesthetics, as it's a lot of money for just pure looks.
There are exceptions of course, and if you're gonna do it, why not make it pretty?

Neither of us are really criticising the ease and range of WC products these days. It's great that there's such variety available :)
I think we just like to see a bit of individual flair or creativity beyond just bunging bits in a box - not that there's anything wrong with doing that.

Well here's the milk machine all finished, finally after a few issues with black screens on Display Port. Just a few things to do like colour coded cables, but overall pleased with it as it's my first WC build.
