Weekend football - 1st-3rd November **Spoilers**

Daniel Cousin getting himself up for a big game again I see!!

Nice 5-0 win for Rangers today, although they all came at the other end and in the first half so I got no goals down my end second half :(

We honoured british troops today at half time, playing the new charity x factor song

Yay awesome results today and if only my Hull prediction had stood i'd have been LOLing all evening. Now that Utd are catching up and Chelsea and l'pool are level again we can have an awesome league fight. Hopefully we will see Villa there soon too not forgetting Man City after they have worked their monies in the summer.

Cant agree more with you there mate, i've been to most games this season and apart from the man city result we've never let ourselves down. 4 wins out of 6 at the Brit is fantastic, and im over the moon about our league position considering out of our games so far this season we've had to play Liverpool, Chelsea, Tottenham, Arsenal, Villa and Everton.

Folks like Weebull can refer to us as one trick pony's, but who wouldnt use a weapon like that if they had it in their squad. There's more to stoke that just Delap's throws, but if thats all that folks want to focus on about us I'm more than happy :)
From the Beeb; Stoke 1-0 Sunderland said:
The lively Jamaican got the winner when he leapt above Sunderland's defence to head home Rory Delap's throw-in from six yards after 76 minutes.
Stoke 3-2 Villa said:
Mamady Sidibe claimed an injury-time winner to give Stoke a dramatic win over Aston Villa.

Sidibe was credited with the touch on Rory Delap's long throw to deny Villa, who twice battled back to level.
That and the Arsenal result makes 9 points out of the 13 you have. You didn't score against Liverpool, so that makes only 3 points gained by anything other than tapping in Delap's throws. Come on, that's pretty one-trick.

I'm not saying you shouldn't use it, or even arguing against it. It works, why change? I'm actually just surprised no-one seems to be able to organise themselves enough to stop it.

Is MOTD not working on the bbc website for anyone? Says that the stream has ended!?

EDIT: Its appeared now, guess they have to delay it that much so you dont have to pay for it.

Nice try there by Vidic but you could see that it had crossed the line from the look on his face, lol.

As for the penalty - well, i've seen worse than that let off but i've also seen less than that given. Overall I think it was very 50/50 - both players getting in each other's way.

But overall i'm still just glad we got 3 points on a day when 2 of our main challengers both lost.

Was that it from the BBC? No replay of the dubious looking decision for the freekick for Hull's first, no mention of the fact they should have had 10 men, and the punditry seemed to consist of "Hull almost did it. Utd won. Well here's Chelsea."

Im not sure if Chelsea played really really well or Sunderland just decided to stand there and do nowt for the whole game.
