Keane was in and out every other week unless Torres or Gerrard where injured, and even dropped in the middle of a scoring run - pure scapegoat imo

That's a load of rubbish. He more or less started every game up untill Decemeber and was simply not doing enough to earn his place in the side. He had a strike rate as bad as Voronin's last season and most of Voronins appearances were as a sub. People didn't think he was a scapegoat though.

It's still financial backing, there's plenty of clubs who wouldn't give the money to the manager even if it's made from sales.

it does if we are wining the games we lost last season (west ham away, city away, to name a couple of recent bogeys) - his team ethic is also great - while he wasnt scoring he was assisting the team vastly (like last ditch tackles at the other end not so long ago)

Pretty much all of our expensive buys have been flops, regardless of managers tbh.

Only Alonso,Masch and Torres have cut it in the last few years imo.Rafa does himself no favours, when he persists with dross like Lucas and Dossena, what about playing people like Plessis or Spearing, no wonder we dont have any of the youth lads stepping up when people like Lucas get continually picked, despite their horrid performances.

Says it all really when Benitez brings on El-Zhar when the chips are down, Fergie bought on Tevez last night we've had the money and wasted it, players were bought in for the sake of bringing players, that needs to change.We also need to bring in some local talent.That said, I still think Benitez is the man for the job.

i think it holds true with Baz that benitez could walk on the pitch at anfield and wee on the badge and he'd still try and paint it as a work of tactical genius and try to lash out at ferguson by comparison.

we're still on for 5 trophies this season.

You're side last season was far better imo than your side this season. The only area you have improved is defensively.

Bebatov hasnt improved the side, he has hamstrung one of the most devastating attacking forces in European football. The run of stuttering 1-0 nils and inept attacking performances since he has joined are evidence of this.

Ronaldo is the main difference at Man.U., he's good this season but was simply on a different planet last season often slaughtering sides on his own.

Alonso and Masch wherent that expensive where they (under £18m or something each) - I would say thats around an average price for experienced 1st teamer for top four sides, even Torres was only about £5m more than that

Unless you buy good quality youth - or you snag bargains like Evra and Vidic, £17m or so is the price you have to expect to pay - and all those you mentioned are damn good (I personally wouldnt have Alonso at Utd, but wouldnt mind either of the other two lol )

lol not at all. I have said that Keane was a flop and previously said that Benintez played his part in that. I simply questioned how Berbatov has improved your side which somebody said.

what are you talking about two days after - Im talking about Bolton and Arsenal EPL games both of which Keane scored in and he didnt play in your next game, you didnt have just two days betwen Bolton and Newcastle did you?
