Weekend Football 21/22 & 23rd ***SPOILERS***

Ronaldo is the main difference at Man.U., he's good this season but was simply on a different planet last season often slaughtering sides on his own.

he has wasted a lot of free kicks this season - straight into the wall

I really wouldnt mind him leaving in the Summer (for a really decent amount) - the bad and the ugly sides of his game are just getting annoying now, and we may not get as many goals from a wide man ever again, but we will also get a less selfish player at the same time

I don't agree. You look far less impressive going forward this season than last and the amount of goals you've scored would suggest im right.

what are you talking about two days after - Im talking about Bolton and Arsenal EPL games both of which Keane scored in and he didnt play in your next game, you didnt have just two days betwen Bolton and Newcastle did you?

Bolton - 26th December
Newcastle - 28th December

That's 2 days Frank and Keane didn't play because he had a tight calf :)

Yeah, he's not really got into gear yet this season. And his play acting is really ****ing me off big time. He just seems to be a very angry player this season.

yet we're still on for 5 trophies are in the middle of a huge winning run have increased our passes per game from 460 to 520 over last season with our pass success rate improving by over 3% as well. we've also had more touches in the opponents half than any other side. goals scored are a major but certainly not the only measure of a forwards worth to the team. Berbatovs ability to retain possession is an influence on our defensive record as well. How many teams have scored more than us in the league this season? i'm pretty sure liverpool haven't? that's coupled with 12 goals and if i'm not mistaken the most assists in our squad as well?

Newcastle vs. Everton. Struggled to watch it, I mean it was seriously poor. Cannot *wait* for Champions League though....

Wish my team had the luxury of wanting to get rid of the world's best player.
I hate him as much as the next non MU fan but would love him to play for my team and I'm sure everyone would agree.
Same as Fergie, when he goes you'll struggle for a few years but you need to keep hold of those sort of geniuses for as long as you can.

there's only one good point for me with regards ronaldo's dip in form (though his stats are still impressive). a lot of people were saying we were a one man team last season and we wouldn't be anywhere if Ronaldo wasn't playing like he was. I think we're showing that we have other players capable of stepping up to the plate.

Generally with the exception of maybe Vidic, our team haven't really hit top form despite our lovely winning run of games recently. Each game is quite different to watch. There has been no flow from game to game. I'm sure I'm not the only one but I've been underwhelmed quite a bit this season and that is a very strange thing to say when we are top of the league, 7 points clear, Carling cup final next weekend, still in the F.A Cup and in the last 16 of the Champions League. Something's missing and I can't really put my finger on it.

Tevez should play above Berbatov imho. Sure, he oozes class when he can be bothered, but he is soo lazy and it's annoying to watch. Tevez, however, is class *and* puts in the effort. IMO tho, so feel free to disagree.

and how did Berbatov affect us then? Seeing as he's responsible for your clean sheets, passing accuracy, amount of passes played etc :p

Whilst it's obvious you're the best in England at the moment I don't think you're as good as any of the teams who've won the PL recently, including your teams, except for the Chelsea side who won it the 2nd time round perhaps. They won mainly because everyone else was crap and that's pretty much why you're up there now.
Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea fans aren't really expecting to get much further in the CL as they know they're not good enough and I can't see you getting past Inter:)

Really?

I expect ourselves, yourselves and Utd to go through. Who know's what's going to happen with Arsenal though.

The only side outside of England that i think can win the CL is Barca.

very difficult match actually i'm not looking forward to it. I'd fancy liverpool and chelsea's chances in this round though. Arsenal are too hard to call.

I think most Liverpool supporters expected us to beat Madrid when we were drawn with them. Don't know if that's the case now given how well they're playing under Ramos. They're the form team in Europe along with United.
