Weekend Football Thread 31-2 *spoilers*

As above..

I didnt say that he hadnt had enough funds...and certainly nothing in the section you have quoted suggests that.

I merely pointed out..as per the part that you quoted (which I believe is factually correct, unless you think that Liverpool have more money than RM? Which is the part you quoted)...some reasons why RM might think he can do a job for them in Spain.

Posted my reply just as you did yours so didnt notice it. Oh and i know RM have much more money than us. Just mis interprited your post.

Part of the point in that they can't play near that level every week

Because every week it's a different side. We need to rest 'x' why? Why can't they play for 90 minutes? What I'm questioing is the constant change and rotation - we looked awful in pre-season and we did nothing about it and this has carried on into the season. I don't think he will be fired unless they have someone else in place or a new owner comes in.

Taking Torres off (even he looked miffed by it) was the start of a miserable afternoon - he can score out of nothing and he got taken off and replaced by Babbel. Then constantly keeping an eye on the Champions League is another moot point - he said at the start of the season that the Premiership was the main objective well I think that's gone now and I think that's why he took the players off - if you can do well in the CL it sort of shifts the spotlight elsewhere.

How does that sum up Man United who they mullered 2-0

Liverpool are in mid table team form, the fringe players are gash, getting rid of Rafa will do nothing, the half of the squad is mediocre.

Just like City, they only care about 2 matches a season, United Home and away.

Other than that, the whole lot of them are quite prepared to offer and accept, complete mediocrity.

Have a read of last weeks thread and educate yourself. You were the only one who blamed the ref rather than your own teams performance and the only one to show a complete lack of class. As I said last week, you're just bitter.

I'm going to have to give this thread stars if you keep this up. :D

Normally I don't find trolling amusing, but you're a class above the rest. :)

I'm not ready to accept it and I'm sure 99% of Liverpool fans are. We are not ready to just sit back and accept mediocracy.

A win over Man U is always pleasing. A win over anyone is. But it's certainly not something I'd accept just to beat them and that's the good part over.

Deluded or a troll?

Every other Utd fan managed to accept you were well beaten last week except you.

there is no question the ref assisted you last weekend in the more serious decisions (Carragher, Torres falling over himself, free kicks), one good goal scored and at least one penalty over looked

On the other hand Utd didnt create enough to deserve anything other than penalties (apart from the Owen chance at the end) - I will give you that

Yes because Man U never get decisions go there way - I can't believe you're upset about one game when 90% of the games you play in you get the rub of the green (feries famous time watching springs to mind).

P.S. What did Torres do wrong apart from Vidic kept going through him?

imo, Liverpool deserved that win, they played well, and Man Utd didn't turn up at all.

The carragher decision- it was given a yellow card, this seems like a lenient decision, but when Vidic fouled a few minutes later, he was also given a yellow card, at least the ref was consistent

Are we going to have any defenders, aside from Kyrgiakos, Dossena and Ayala (none of whom are exactly awe inspiring), available next week? At this rate I can't wait for Martin Kelly to get fit again.

On another note, why didn't Ashley Cole play today? It's really messing around with my fantasy team :(

EDIT: Can we please stop debating the Liverpool-Man U game? It's in the past now, Liverpool are back to losing ways, let us have our one moment of joy for the season!!!

Boohoo waa waa, when did this become a creche for man united fans?

Disappointing result today, but sounds like the game didnt go our way on top of a not-so-great starting lineup. Fulham dug in and took away a great result. Not hard to see the man united game had only papered over the cracks briefly. Not looking good now with injuries and suspensions, dont even know who's available anymore!
