I was sat in Man Utd pub watching the game yesterday, out numbered by about 100-1. Not one fan thought that was a penalty, that ref couldn't wait to give it.

He went to give a foul on Modric before the 2nd, then changed his mind.

I'm not 100% sure the whole of the ball crossed the line for the other goal, ref didn't give it a 2nd thought. The crowd cheered and that was enough for him.

So sick of getting mugged at Old Trafford. A couple of fans tried saying to me they'd have won 4-2 if they hadn't got it anyway but it doesn't work like that. Anyone can see that changed the whole game, inflated Utd and deflated Spurs.

Just glad it wasn't that important to us. If things even themselves out over time then we are due a serious hoodoo over Man U becuase it's ridiculous the amount of dodgy decisions they've had against Spurs... no wonder we've not beat them in 18 games.

At first I thought it was a penalty, after seeing a few replays I think it was a bit harsh but I can see why it was given at the time. However the momentum was all Utd and we were going to eventually score, we probably wouldn't have got that scoreline though. What really let Spurs down was after the penalty, their heads dropped and they allowed us to come at them for the rest of the game. None of the Spurs players disputed that goal straight after it happened which is why both the linesman and referee gave it although they mightn't have actually seen it cross the line themselves.

Tbh I always thought Utd were going to at least get a draw even at half-time and the way we played after the penalty was embarrassing, I think only Palacios should be allowed to collect his paycheck this week after that.

United would have ripped anyone a new bumhole playing like that but it still sticks in the throat because it happens every single bloody season with the dodgy ref and it always goes your way.

Skrtel went down very easily as well! Still a red though.

Unfortunatley most players would do exactly the same in the same situation, all it takes is the slightest touch and down they go

And what about Lucas' handball for the second!! Can't believe all the discussion is about our penalty decision!

Ball to hand, wasn't much he could have done about that

Berbatov was excellent yesterday. The second goal (I think it was) where he collected the ball and fed Tevez, who then fed Rooney, if that was ANY other player it would have bounced straight off them and the goal wouldn't have happened. The ball was pelted into him. Quality player.

I agree, he had a hand in all the goals. Was it the United fans booing him or the spurs fans in the first half? He's quality and I'm sure hell get better as the season draws to a close.

You barely ever see a foul given for a player putting himself inbetween the attacker and ball (if he's letting it run out for a goal kick or to run through to the keeper) and you see far worse incidents than what Skrtel or Carra done.

Just seen the highlights, Carra's one he half turned round and used his arm and hand, but Skrtel only used his body, can see why Carra's got given.

As for the Utd penalty, when I first saw it I thought that the ball came away at a funny angle and the replays show he got a touch.
