** Weekend Football Thread ** *spoilers*

I don't, I quite like Southgate, Middlesborough are a half decent side, unfortunate this season.

I hope Newcastle go down :)

Yeah, Southgate's alright, I just want the smaller clubs to survive, which means Newcastle and Boro have to. :p

Everyone loves to slate united and say they get all the decision but I havnt seen the evidence for this. Last week against everton there was a deffo penalty and it wasnt given, fellaini should probably have been sent off for some of his elbowing and general fouling but wasnt. Thats football though; I support man utd but I dont begrudge Everton their win because we should have scored in that game in open play. We didnt do that so then you are at the mercy of a few decisions.

Against totenham yesterday we got a bit of a lucky penalty and scored it, but I would have thought that a goal in open play would buoy a team a lot more than a weak penalty so I should think that we would have won without that penalty.

There is always a little element of luck in a football match but the best teams make their own luck and make sure that the little things that go against them dont lose them the game. Totenham were decimated in the second half. Period. It wasnt just after the penalty, we just turned it on and were all over them.

Results going ok for Newcastle this weekend, the games against Pompy is such a must win, if we do we are right back in it, undeservedly imo, but i'm not caring too much about that right now.

He got kicked, it might have hurt :p

Bit unfair to have a pop at Masch when he got kicked. There are plenty of players that roll about when there's no contact whatsoever.

its the liverpool way. its called creating chances, and they get away with it far to much.
