You would have agreed to play the match if it was going to inconvenience you in the future.

Surely it's down to the referee, and it's not down to anyone else but him (bar safety of the fans). Unless your trying to suggest something else of which you have no evidence :p

The final decision would be down to the referee but the very fact that David Dein was seen talking to Mike Riley before the decison was made is suspicious!

Congrats to Reading. Premiership next season! :)

Well done to the Royals, great achievement. :D

I haven't seen any pictures from Fratton Park, but if anyone thinks David Dein got the match called off, then you're mad and as Gooner pointed out, it's done us no good at all, I'd rather have got the match out of the way.

Having said that, we should be fresher for Tuesday. :)

Good win for Liverpool. I'm very proud of the way we got stuck in and dominated the match especially with only 10 men. Gerrard was stupid and deserved to get sent off. I thought very few of the yellow cards were deserved but the Everton sending off was a joke. The ref seemed to love being the centre of attention and the hype surrounding the game obviously went to his head.

I look forward to seeing how Reading get on in the Premiership. Just hope Sheffield United don't follow suit or I hope they come straight back down.

Didn't the ref book 7 Everton players and send one off?

Take your blinkers off.

I'm not defending Gerrard,he was daft.Nowhere did i state the ref was biased at all, just inconsistant -to the benefit and detriment of both teams in equal measure - ie red card for Van De whosit and nothing at all for Garcia

That said, this must be one of the toughest Prem fixtures for anyone to have to ref - thats 5 reds now in just the last 2 games

Chelsea played a lot better today, won the game after 30odd minutes then just earnt money after that.
Drogba is a ****, his first goal showed what he is capable of, cracking control & finish. His 2nd showed why no-one likes him, cracking control & finish, only with his arm as he admitted afterwards. The Lino must have seen it it was that blatant, if he didn't he shouldn't be running the line.
John Terry has to be favourite for the PFA player of the year again, the lad get's better every game:)

I couldnt believe his interview afterwards!

I'm fed up with Gerrard, he must think he's above the law as he keeps throwing in career
threatening 2 footed lunges like that:mad:
He what? Oh, he plays for Liverpool does he?

Edit: Gerrard was just silly, reckless & daft today tbh, and the ref was awful...

The above post is almost all sarcasm by the way

Definate straight red for Van De Meyde (spelling?). His left elbow went looking for Alonso's face.

I thought all but 2 of the bookings WERE yellow cards. Also, to the letter of the law, I thought the ref did his job properly today.

//Drogba dive number 1. :rolleyes:
