TBH I'd rather he didn't and Ruud was brought on and scored a brace. RvN is a far more useful player and I can really see him leaving if this continues as it is.

IIRC when he came on last time and got one in and an assist didnt make any difference to Fergie :(

Very solid performance so far. Roo has missed a couple of sitters though, and Silvestre has been shocking as per usual. I can't wait to get Gabi back in.

Saha hasn't done much of note, other than misplace a pass that would have put Ronny straight in. Bring RvN on. Please.

well.. where now for newcastle.. any newcaslte fans with any views... im a bit miffed at luque being left out all the time.... i dunno...
wouldnt even know where to start sorting it all out

i didn't see the toon game cause i was out last nite and i forgot about the clocks thingy.

annoyed with the scoreline tbh, and thats 4 losses on the trot, which is the story of the toons season thus far, rubbish start, then about 8-9 good games with wins coming in then the horrible run souness has so hes fired. old glenny boy comes in and 5 or so great games and again the points come in, then another bad run, with a few measly performances.

We really need to perform consistently under ANY manager, and instead of slagging off the manager (except souness lol) **** off the players that are clearly not top flight worthy (amoebi, boumsoung, elliot) and the just downright no hopers that shouldn't be in newcastles roster list (bowyer).
Am really hoping for a big clearout of our players, and bringing in.... not big name players as such but just reliable hard working players in certain key areas, a central defender and good forward is what we need.

thats what reoder done i think

he slated the defenders today... which is deserved.. our defence is poor.. definitely not premiership level... they obviously cant cut it in the premiership.

and we need to keep luque and chops.. for squad rotation.. shearer needs to retire.. and ameobi ist good enough for the premiership..

so we need ANOTHER clearout and buy in the summer.. yet again more money needed... and then cross our fingers in august for the new season

Pogatetz? I think he deserved it as he pushed Davies, the free kick was even more bizzare! But Davies certainly deserved one too. I didn't think there was much difference between the Everton red yesterday and his elbow, which didn't even get a free kick.

You can see how Pogatetz got that long ban and the nickname Mad-dog!

Webb made a few mistakes like booking Jaaskelainen for handling outside the area. The fact that he was in his area means he can handle it!

The ref was awful. Davies defintely caught Pogo although I don't think it was on purpose. The problem I and a lot of Boro fans had with the incident was a Bolton player went to put the ball out and Davies ran and stopped it from going out and played on. Considering the situation Davies should have put it out or the ref should have blown the whistle. Neither happened. This has happened twice now when Webb has ref'd a Boro game. Morrison was knocked out against Spurs and he waved play on then but in that situation a Spurs player kicked it out straight away.

What was that woman saying repeatedly over the tannoy at OT today?:)
Something about red code cancelled...

OPERATION RED CODE CANCELLED

Over and over again. Started to get a bit worried, maybe it was reverse pshycology to stop us all panicing and it was a code red...

New quadrants look awesome, totally changes the stadium. Can't wait to see it all done, should be a really impressive effect with the full 76,000

The club rushes from one crisis to the next , there is no forethough or planning to any descions made at high level.
The whole situation is a joke.

Big money signings , bids for Rooney and the like , sacking managers at the worst possible times and stupid outbursts in the media.

Shepherd runs the club like a bloody soap opera.

NUFC badly needs stability and about 10 players to even try to compete where we were a couple of years ago.

We need a new manager desperately to try to steady the ship.
He needs to be given funds and time to get things right.

The biggest problem with bringing in a manager isnt the wages , location of the club , fanbase , squad or even a club in crisis.
Its Alan Shearer.

I love the bloke to bits but the pedestle that Shepherd has put him on is a huge burden on us.

Are we to expect that a top class manager will come here to try and build a future knowing for a fact that Shearer can step in at any time and take over as and when he feels like it?
