Wenger - get out

I don't know who we could get to replace. Nasri is not good enough in that role and Wilshere is not quite yet ready.

Considering the most we have ever spent on a player is £15M on Arshavin.

Wilshere is amazing. Can't remember a 19 year old English midfielder who was that good in my football viewing *lifetime.

I thought we spunked £17mill on Reyes who turned out to be a flop and we sold him....but goes to show that Wenger isnt all that serious about trophies...he talks the talk but doesnt walk the walk sadly.

Now im hoping against hope that this summer, he goes out and spends money on some decent world class defenders and a world class GK...lets see if it happens..im just hoping that if he does spend he doesnt buy some no name french defenders.

Personally and this is my opinion only so im probably wrong but i dont think its a case of Wenger not splashing the cash...i think its more to do with the wages we pay...so far i think only Fab is on about £100k+ a week whereas the rest are on far less than that. I think that Wenger has tried to sign world class players but hasnt been able to do so because they want stupidly high wages which Wenger is hard pressed to pay....hmmmm who knows, just a wild stab in the dark.

Wilshere's brilliant, and (because this seemingly matters) is English and Champions League quality / is emerging to be world class.

We have produced a player like that since the early nineties.

Perry Groves was saying how he thinks you should flog Fabregas and rebuild the team.

A few Gooners I know have said the same thing, whilst he is a great player he can't save you in every game where as 3-4 quality signings could.

You have Nasri, Wilshere and Ramsey in the middle. Buy a decent GK, CB and a decent winger and you're sorted.

Go onto Wikipedia and look up what a forward/striker is, and then a box to box midfielder.

But before that, learn how to read. May I suggest literature where you can track a finger under the words.

Edit - seemingly you have. :o

I'd like to think we have the money available to fill the gaps and keep Cesc, even if it means selling 2 or 3 players to subsidise it.

Aye, Denilson, Diaby, Eboue, Rosicky, Arshavin, Squillaci, Clichy and Almunia could all go. Bendtner we can afford some more time I think.

Personally i say keep Arshavin and let Bender go....but all the other players time to ditch them as they are just costing us money in wages.

Eboue??...geezus DM is going to have an almighty epileptic fit if Wenger boots him out:p

That may be true but I really can't think of anyone other than CF that you will get decent money for.

I thought i read that Cesc said at the end of his interview, "if i leave arsenal it will never to be to another English club". Although he has the hump and rightly so I'm not sure he'll be leaving this summer as i originally thought.

Yeah I actually read that article as he is (understandably) frustrated but certainly not that he wants out - although perhaps if they don't bring in some experience in the summer then he may feel enough is enough.

I think Vermaelen was a massive loss to Arsenal this season, he's a leader, scores goals and Kos/Squillaci were signed to play alongside him not to be the main centre-back pairing - it's surprising Arsenal have conceded so few with a completely new and untested centre-back pair tbh!

To be honest we don't need decent money because Wenger won't spend decent money. He's said before he will never change more than 2 or 3 players in one summer as it disrupts the team too much, so with that in mind he won't be spending upwards of £50m, considering all our recent signings have been £10m~, selling Denilson, Almunia and Bendtner (I get the impression he will want to go) will raise £15-20m, we should have the rest, even if it does approach £50m, considering our income and the surplus in cash from recent transfer dealings.

He seems to make the same amount of mistakes as other players do but plays far less than them. We won't get that much for him, but should sell just to free up wages.

That's the the thing with Diaby and Denilson as well. Diaby being French as well will no doubt be on a lot. I didn't even realise he was on the pitch until half time on Sunday.

For such an important game it's puzzling why Song didn't even start.
