Wengers time up?

Hold on DM, there are also teams below us who spend a lot more than we do on wages and in transfer market. Therefore one can make the argument and say Wenger is doing great?

Arguing with DM is like arguing with an idiot they bring you down to their level.

I don't know why you bother arguing with the closet spurs fan

It is an I hate wenger thread, of course DM is goingto be in here. I think they should concentrate on getting something looked at about fitness and injuries. The move to the new ground has plagued us with injuries, surely either their training is too intense or ground too hard or something.

We were flying a long with carzola in the team then he got injured and we went flat. Even Walcott was scoring then got injured, we went flat.

Leicester had a very consistent team with very few injuries, that is extremely rare and highly unlikely to happen again.

Wenger will not go next year whilst he still has a contract, next might be his
Last though. Hopefully he throws caution to the wind and spends big and intelligently.

There are a couple of teams in the past two years who are below us who spend more on wages... over the past decade they've all finished above us multiple times and all won the league, 2 of them have won the champions league in that period as well as get to more finals and all 3 have gotten beyond the round of 16 in the past 5-6 years where Arsenal haven't.

Only City, Utd and Chelsea spend more, we are also most assuredly in the lower end of the big spenders rather than the high end of the lower spenders.

This year it's Chelsea 215mil, Utd 203mil, City 193mil, Arsenal 192mil.

Then in the next group you have Pool up to 152m, Spurs at 110mil, Newcastle/everton at the 75mil mark.

No team, none has spent at our level and done so poorly over the past decade. We are the biggest spending failures in Europe, full stop.

We did win the FA Cup two years in a row and charity shield. Then you got the Emirates cup; always great to win that :D;)

Win lose, I just love the club and enjoy how we play. No point getting stressed about it. It's meant to give you entertainment, not a heart attack :p

Okay, a few things, one I don't hate Wenger. Wanting Wenger gone doesn't mean I hate him it means I recognise the team can't win things with him any longer.

Second, Cazorla got injured in the 14th game of the year, we had 26 points from 13 games or 2 points a game, we were on course for a 76 point finish, both not enough to win and should we beat City in the next game we'll be on course for a 73 point finish.... the Cazorla injury hasn't made much difference.

Likewise, errm, Walcott hasn't missed more than a few days this year really.

http://www.espnfc.co.uk/player/67507/theo-walcott

scroll down and look at the games, can you highlight a long spell where he wasn't either starting a sub or on the bench. Walcott hasn't had a major injury this year, he was dire from the start of the season, he has 5 goals in 27 appearances in the league and he's been dropped recently because of how useless he was, nothing more or less.

Early season we were using him as a main striker, Arsenal looked woeful with him doing so, he was completely unable to link the teams play together, he missed so many easy chances and limited how we played. Wenger finally stopped playing him centrally after a few months and mostly played him right wing where he continued to be ineffective but at least the rest of the offence worked better without him.

I don't, the way they play is entirely predictable, I can't watch Walcott getting another pay rise then watch him be a giant ***** on the pitch while Wenger continues to pick him and watch him fail when it counts. I don't have to win, I want the team to have a fair chance to win which we don't have with Wenger any more.

Arsenal were so much more exciting to watch up to 2005, we played faster, more decisive, not pointless possession based football without having to watch guys like Walcott hang around the club for 10 years.

I don't want Wenger gone, I want Kronke gone. Its interesting how everyone directs their hatred at Wenger for small mistakes like Walcotts contract (although it helps fulfill other obligations owing to him being english), and don't realise how Kronke is trying to squeeze as much money out of the club as possible, whilst using Wenger to do it. That 200m cash pile is going to be a nice reward for him.

I agree we were more fun to watch back then. Also agree with Walcott needed to be shipped out. I cannot see him getting 20+ goals for us consistently.

I do hope we sell Walcott and the Ox at least this year and spend big and get 2-3 quality players in. As we did not spend much last summer, I do see us splashing this one :)

I also would rather see Kronke gone.

Well..Arsenal arent going to win jack with a divided fan base. Since Wenger isnt leaving or going to be sacked. Shall we all pull together and leave the sack Wenger banners until the end of 16/17 season.

I think he should retire, I'm bored of everyone season being the same but I will still go and support my team. I don't agree with the banners and booing but the only thing that will stop it is if Wenger strengthens in the areas that everyone knows need strengthening and improves the football we are playing. The fact he hasn't done this in ages, the last summer by far the worst window ever, doesn't bode well for the future.

I think we need to get a proper striker in, a proper DM, start playing Campbell, stop playing Iwobi every game and get rid of Ox, Walcott (he did start well this season but has been nothing short of atrocious recently) and Ramsey.

We aren't going to win things with Wenger, we aren't going to win things just because the fans back him(this has been proven over the past decade) the only way we can win is to get rid of Wenger... the only way to get rid of Wenger is for the fans to stop blindly and stupidly showing blind faith in a guy that has proven he can't perform at the level required any more.

He had the support of all the fans till maybe a few years ago at worst and failed to compete properly for anything. Support won't randomly help, it makes things worse. The board will not remove Wenger and will in fact keep offering him extensions till they believe the fans won't back him any more. Supporting the team blindly is harming the team, it won't help it.

How do you know he cant win anything anymore? He's won in the past. Arsenal did the FA cup double recently. If the fans were like the fans at the King Power Stadium, i have no doubt we would be closer to Leicester this season, Leicester deserve it this season though, they've been incredible. How can Ranieri win with a team like Leicester? They have belief. Doubt is like a virus, it spreads. Arsenal were 7 points behind and in gameweek 27 with 33 points still up for grabs, what happened? fans like yourself started spreading doubt into the players. It could have been closer this season, few wins here and there instead of draws because the fans have become the 12th man. You undermine the 12th man theory big time. Do you think Liverpool would have come back against Dortmund without the 12th man?

Also, why do you say the team has proven they cant win in the last decade? Then you say few years, then you say last 5 years. Your view changes like the wind. I told you about the years after the CL final and how Arsenal got to a QF and SF in the years after? Arsenal have never won the Champions league but you seem to hold that against Wenger that he hasnt brought one to the club? why is that?

Like Jose said, Wenger is a specialist in failure..... however he seems to still get rewarded ?

Mind games, no?

Mate we are fed up with arsenal and wenger.

That is why we lost belief.

End of the day its the team that needs to show us effort and belief and that will spread amongs us

When did you lose belief? The team certainly showed effort, that's why they've been near the top all season, not in the middle of the table.
