What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

Well worth giving it another go. Superb game.

I gave it another go. Got bored. I think the problem is that I prefer open-world games, so linear games now bore me. Also the horrible way that the right click was used to swap between magic plasmids and weapons rather than have one mouse button for each (cf. Skyrim) annoyed me. It was amusing to see how much of it was stolen for Prey (2017) though.

Interesting, I've gone the exact opposite way.

I'm now in my fifties and my legs aren't like they used to be; so I'm looking for a more technical shooter with little running around.

I would love to get into a multiplayer sniper game that uses IRL physics like bullet drop, wind and ammo type/weight etc.

Are there any good games or mods that offer the aforementioned, and a less run and gun game play style?

I know Arma3 has the ballistics, it just doesn't have much of a community anymore.

Any recommendations?

Huh? Maybe I am missing something, but what does running around physically with your legs in the real world have to do with gaming? :p

It clearly was a metaphor to my age group's deterioration of reaction times and other attributes needed to compete well in fast paced, twitch trigger shooters.

Even from the discomfort of my gaming chair, my prowess on the battlefield has deteriorated from my kick-ass peak BHD - BF2 era, to my current wupped-ass pathetic excuse of a FPS gamer.

The slower game is definitely more suited to my capabilities.

I played Dinkum for a few weeks, quite enjoy games like this, but feel a bit burnt out on it now
Dinkum is great, terrific little game which came out of nowhere, its one of those titles like Subnautica and Valheim which are totally off radar and come along and remind you how good-gaming can be.

Just play as normal but put the mouse speed down, then it will feel slow :D

Playing some Chorus and Prodeus on gamepass, both good games imo.

Also a bit of Darkest Dungeon 1 at night. Online games right now are Hell let loose and DCS world on Enigma's cold war server.

No Mans Sky, and Company of Heroes multiplayer.

Age:49.

Ever since the interceptor NMS patch has come out, I am hooked. Four bases built, one S class ship and 50 plus hours, in game.

Company of Heroes, I am in top 500 players 1 vs 1. And boy that game is tough (online). Way too many hours played!

Just started Breath of the Wild (emulated). I'm about three hours in and it's pretty great. I wasn't sure what to expect and always thought it looked a little kiddish but, the different systems are pretty deep and inventive. The combat can be quite challenging too.
