What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

That had so much hype before launch and turned out to be a very damp squib.... I refunded on steam very quickly.

For £4 it's fine... But it was like £45/50 a launch and I'd played the beta but loads of issues at launch and very boring very quickly after that.

Well worth the £4 in my opinion. I love open world games such as Rage , this is not a bad game *So Far*

Remember this?

This is a blast from the past. Many hours spent on this when I was younger.

Thinking about how many games i'm "actively playing" (at least once a week for couple hours)...
EFT (got back into this wipe after skipping last one entirely)
FF VII (never played the originals so it's all new)
GTA IV (about to finish the main story, never had completed but started like a dozen times)
FF XIV (just testing out, but so far quite a lot of content for absolutely free and quite fun?)
SC2 (specifically W3 custom campaign because why not lol)

I'm sure i'm forgetting something... Yes, I do have a lot of spare time on my hands :|

How you actively play and keep track of 5 games at a time is beyond me lol.

If a game really has me hooked, I'm on it until I finish it.
Honestly can't hold the attention span in most cases. Also getting used to variety means that it's hard not to start something else alongside whatever else you're already playing lol.

Armoured Core 6, it's gameplay loop is the perfect time length for us old farts. It can either be a quick 10 minute game with a couple of fun missions or matches. Or a 8 hour solid session... It's just a brilliant game. And it works out of the box technically... Rare these days.

It's funny how we've come to the point where we have to applaud a game "just working out of the box" these days. Doesn't even have to run swimmingly, as long as it doesn't crash every other step and isn't littered with bugs and issues. Oh well, that's £70 please (soon to be 79.99 no doubt)

Bought a Razer Blade 14 2021 on the Evilbay so downloaded some games to play whilst offshore from the Gamepass App. Dirt 5, FM2023, Halo Infinite and preloaded Starfield. All run well (the games that are out) and enjoying them :)

Yea, I'm really hoping the industry is on an uptrend now the tooling and circumstances are much more favorable to studios. Maybe... I'm not holding my breathe though.

Does anyone know the DRM situation with Microsoft Games on Steam?

Say Age of Empires, for example. When you buy it, it will ask you to log in with your XBox Gamertag. But is this a one time thing? Or can I use different gamertag in the future if I decide to? I know other titles are one time like EA, Ubisoft and Rockstar.

Brotato to pick up for short periods
Baulders gate has been amazing but might wait for a couple more patches to finish it.
Might look to get game pass for sea of stars and starfield next.
