What are the 30 year old plus gamers playing?

34. Eve Online and, now that I have a machine capable of playing it properly, Squad. I was playing Rimworld until recently but for some reason lost interest really quickly. Will give it a try again in a few weeks I expect.

Shadow Warrior. The latest Tomb Raider with my wife.. so that's going to take months:P I also paid for a month of Origin prime to try BFV but found it very underwhelming.. but in doing so re-discovered SWBF 2 so currently having a blast with that as well. Oh, I'm 46:P

Bioshock Remastered

Overwatch, though growing increasingly disalusioned by it.

Forza Horizon 4

Im burning 2 candles off 50

Touching 30 here. Struggling to find something that keeps me gaming. In fear of "Growing up", as the wife puts it. Hoping for Red dead on PC some time soon.

43

The Forest.. amongst many others just now.
In need of new pants though, headphones, home alone in a dark room whilst playing this game is not a good idea.

nope, its one of my main ones at the minute. although will prob change next week when i fancy something else,,, haha

Nope, 32 here and ARK is still one of my faves with nearly 900 hours played (currently playing aberration), although for the last few months I've mainly been playing BF1 and just logging on to ARK to feed stuff now and again....I should probably just suspend the server when my friends and I aren't playing!

Really looking forward to Extinction and contemplating taking a few days leave on release to get a private server up and get started :)

RDR2 has taken me away from Ark, not sure "Extinction" has much of a draw to it for me at moment tbh

Is Enemy Unknown a must play before XCOM2?

Oh, 44 here and having a real struggle trying to keep myself entertained for more than half an hour lately. :(

No I would not say it is a must-play, personally I absolutely loved Enemy Unknown but I think XCOM 2 is an excellent upgrade that improves on a lot of things so you could go straight to it alright nowadays, although others may disagree. I'm sure you would figure the story out without the prequel, but there is a lot in this, I think it's really good. I find XCOM 2 one of the most immersive games I've played in a while, and then there's War of the Chosen which is a massive dlc, almost like a new game really. It is class.

As a 30+ over I've quit gaming for about 3 years with the occasional burst of gaming here and there, so not sure if it counts as quitting lol. Easily 5% of what I used to do.

On the good/positive side I've read more non-fiction books in these 3 years, than ever before in my lifetime.

Pro tip: You're playing games in a much bigger and better game, akin to playing an arcade game iinside fallout 4, or getting your sim character to waste idle time "playing a game". etc.
