what bought you to the ocuk website?

I used to shop at a dodgey 'solar phenomenon' computer shop, then a reputable one with the same first letter, and now here because my uni housemate Jongo was fed up of Giving me computer network advice so he sent me to the forums :P

Asking questions about the Athlon 600@750 from memory, back when men were men, women were women, and system builders were scared of the fans needed to keep an overclocked Slot A athlon cool in the days when most cases only had a single 80mm exhaust fan :p
I remember the days of Delata 60mm fans whirring away like a bee hive that had just been hit with a stick, and the Delta Screamer 120mm fans that not only had a huge kick when they started up, but if you were unwary and forgot to fit a fan guard you could end up spray painting the inside of your case on the cheap, in red.

I realised that everything I wanted to buy for my builds, OCUK stocked.
Once had an issue with stock of an item so rang them, they couldn't of been more helpful. Customer service rocks, they keep stocking items I'm interested in therefore I'm a loyal customer.

Forum's alright n'all, full of weirdos though.

I wanted to build my first PC and a colleague directed me here. I remember buying an Athlon XP 2100+ and one of those silver Coolermaster cases with the purple acrylic door. Can't remember the other parts though!

I was trying to figure out how to get my pc to play BFME with better than 10fps, and I discovered I needed to replace my agp card with something better. A friend suggested I come on here and get specced up for a whole new rig. Which I did. 3k later I'm still doing it! Damn you Jon!

Was always interested in IT/tech, and this was one of the few technology forums of the day back in the 2000s. I undoubtedly spent my student job/weekend work/summer work buying a new chip or something like that. My interest in PCs and building them and so on has declined, as I don't really play games, and my laptop does everything I need easily. However, once you're here it's addictive, plus the fact that in general you get a really great group of people to discuss things with. :)

72 posts in and nobody has picked up on 'bought' in the thread title? GD, you disappoint.

I came here when I purchased a pre-overclocked CPU and then I went on holiday with 2bloo and jamiedot. Never really looked back :)

My old PC was starting to get a little old and tired. I have a friend who had just got himself a new PC from Overclockers and after seeing what good quality it was, I decided to give them a go for getting my own new rig. Wandered onto the forums to check it out and been posting here ever since :)

i came here after OCS stopped trading (a good few years after) and with it the forum went. this place had a bad name for banning people for no reason at the time but took the dive and not looked back.

Joined Pre-Nuke when I googled some info on this New Fangled thing called 'Overclocking' that someone had mentioned in a PC Magazine.

I'd Just bought my first PC, a 'Time Computers' Ultimate Time Machine (Cyrix/IBM - Intel PIII Clone), and managed to push it a little and got hooked...

Bought some new bits (1Ghz AXIA @1.33Ghz and 1Gb DDR2 and a Mobo etc...) and it spiraled from there!!

Now I spend a little too much time in here!! (so my wife says!) :)

Worked for an IT distributor a year ago and OCUK where my (favourite) customers.

Was allowed to browse their site at work due to this so naturally I took advantage of this as much as possible and spent 8 hours a day browsing these forums! :D

Back in 2000 I was on some newsgroup and a guy was trolling saying how terrible it was that OCUK was full of racists and homophobics etc, so naturally I joined up to have a look.
